QUICK GUYS I NEED HELP!! LIKE ACTUAL BUSINESS HELP NOT CRYPTO SHIT WELCOME TROLLS.

So, I have been included in a very small research institute, but the president is prestigious and he has been giving me seminars personally for the last 4 months. Anyway, I contacted a company to see if they could use our research and it turns out they could, but they need information from us... It's been 17 hours since her reply and I know I need to AT LEAST get a reply in by 24 hours. I don't have all the info yet but the actual researcher/scientist/prestigious part of the team is VERY busy with their classes... I just sent them a message asking for their input but they might be a while, should I just send an email in the interim? Like "oh I hope you had a good vacation, we are very happy to work with you on this project. Currently, my professors/teammembers are busy with their classes, but we can get a test patient ready soon for this product. As for the legal information in this country, Mr. bla bla knows all about it and can brief you on it."

Is that good???? AHHHHH

MY HOPE IS THAT THE COMPANY WILL HIRE ME BECAUSE I SHOWED THEM MY DESIGNS FOR THEIR PRODUCT AND THE BOARD MEMBER WHOM IM SPEAKING TO ON BEHAL FOF MY INSTITUTE LIKED THEM. I DO NOT GET PAID FOR ANY OF THIS BTW I WORK MIMINUM WAGE AND PAY FOR THE SCHOOLING AND IM 30 YEARS OLD

I don't know how business is done in your country, but in the united states you want to be straight forward and present your clients best interests first and foremost. The first sentence should contain the reason why you are writing, place the bit about vacationing later or not at all. Don't talk about your teams problems. They don't need to know how busy your teammates are. Just say "I'm confident that given our timeline we can acquire a pilot patient within the next 3 weeks." If you don't actually have a patient lined up and aren't comfortable giving a timeline, you can use the tepid "soon" if you must. The part about your teammate explaining stuff at a later time is fine.

sign off with something professional and thank them for their time.

I know some people, but they're far away, my profs/superiors work with these people all the time, but I haven't gotten word from them yet, and I don't know what the process is to acquire a patient for this. I'm just trying to fill the space before I make her wait too long. She said she'll have a meeting about whether or not we'll collaborate next week. Perhaps it's ok if I wait? I would like to have more solid information as you say.
