There is NOTHING after you die. Want proof? A child who dies at 2 has zero understanding of the world compared to an adult. So what? Well if there is an afterlife where your consciousness transfers to an afterlife then that dead child would be lacking much of what you would carry over.
The only way around this is a multiverse where everyone exists to their potential limit of lifespan in order be of the realities within it. So we all life out our final days.
This poses the problem of what happened to the consciousnesses in the alternate realities with different experiences/consciousness, surely they die to nothing or a retarded afterlife.
The very best you can hope for after death is your energy existing still but there is no way you will be you and carry your memories. Maybe reincarnation is a possibility but who you are now will not exist after you die.

TL;DR: What do you remember from before you were born? That is what death is like. Enjoy your life because it is all we get.

I know, I took DMT a few weeks ago and it all hit home and made sense.
BTW all the gods and religions are from people tripping on DMT. I saw my friends turn into Greek and Hindu gods and Aztec and Egyptian symbols everywhere. WE are the gods that we wrote about. The very best hope is we return to a collective consciousness or our energy survives but who we are now will simple not exist when we die.

Oh, that is true but doesn’t help. I think the Big Bang May have been a creation of an AI and we are a biological component of that AI. If we create a new AI it will be a new universe. This has happened many times before and will happen many times after. Each universe differing slightly, evolving. So I would say we are the Big Bang but we are also the evolving universe. Our consciousness still ends when our body dies, unless we plug into the next AI like the matrix, but even then; how long can it keep our mind alive? I think this is what Elon Musk is working towards and perhaps many of the technocratic elite. The holy grail has always been the elixir of life and immortality.

This exact train of thought caused an existential crisis for me about two years ago where I needed an antidepressant ever since. The thought that my son would die and he would be erased forever crippled me and caused me to entirely break down.

If this universe is an artificial construct, this shouldn't frighten you either. This is a simplified metaphor but imagine that we are photos, games, videos and we're sitting on a hard drive currently. Let's say this is a very large hard drive beyond our comprehension, infinitely large then the hard drive for our computers. If we look at our existence as the hard drive itself expressing itself as our existence in a cosmic game beyond our current understanding, it starts to make more sense. loads on youtube about it but itis a rabbit hole! don't get under a 500kg magnet and avoid amazon except wukong and bull brand i think are good on there. 8mm climbing rope minimum but preferable 10-12mm and gloves! good ones, a bucket to put finds in comes in handy too.

Fishing is more fun but it makes a ncie change and you can get fishing lures and knnives if you magnet fish fishing spots.
