Trading is a bit of a hassle on L2 since you need to open and rent channels. Bit hard to understand at first. But here is how it works in case anyone not so involved is lurking:
Lets say you want to trade XSN to BTC

You can transfer your onchain balance to the LN by opening a channel and paying transaction fees. This channel starts completely full and you will not be able to receive anything in the currency you opened a channel for.

For receiving you would rent a BTC channel which starts empty and you can then sell XSN and it will automatically start filling your rented channel with the orders you do on the DEX.

This opens up capacity on your original XSN channel and if you were to sell your BTC back to XSN you would only need to rent an XSN channel if you sell your BTC for more than the capacity you freed up.
