Are there any general rules of thumb regarding profit taking?

I've doubled my money since last week and now I'm thinking of converting half back into fiat just in case. Most of my holdings are in ETH and BTC. If it was up to me, I'd keep it all in crypto but it'd suck if ETH or BTC dropped 20%-30%

Don't take profit. Bitcoin will be 5-8mil in a couple of years, just keep it

I told myself if I triple my original investment I'll cash out that original amount + about 10%, so I make more profit out of it than I would if I left it on a bank account for 10+ years with current interest rates.
The rest is for high risk alt coin speculations, want to look back at earth from Sirius when I'm old.

i made about 400% returns on ETH by just holding, including 1000% on my first position, so im just gonna keep doing that.

keep in mind the longer you hold the easier it is to get even more returns because as the pot grows larger relative to your initial investment your gainz will accumulate more dramatically. what took the first 100% a month now takes a week
