Payout is roughly 9 XSN/32 hrs/MN last I checked. It could get more competitive as more MNs join the network. As they do, demand spikes and XSN naturally appreciates in price.

Trustless staking is nice. I used to TPoS with a merchant in 2018 and I liked it. Similar to MNaaS in that you can leave your computer off for weeks and still receive staking rewards 24/7.
Anyone can become a TPoS merchant with a little work. The German/Swiss community has been especially proactive in writing out tutorials for these sorts of solutions (staking 24/7 from a Pi or a low-power device to reap max rewards on smaller stacks).

Assuming 24 anons have 15 MNs each, 24*15 = 360 MNs in a network of 2576. I'd imagine the number of whales who have that many MNs will drop down over time. As cryptos scale, people talk about them in smaller and smaller quantities. No different than reading through old 2012 BTC threads/2015-16 ETH threads on bitcointalk.
I know of at least 2 whales who exited beneath 800 sat. One of them sold the absolute bottom almost 2 years ago and he still seethes to this day.
