lived in my car for 6 months at about 27 years old. i didn't even have to, i was just so depressed i imposed it on myself. i have a sleek, low key black car with tinted windows. it wasn't too uncomfortable to sleep in. the driver's seat didn't go back completely, but it was fine once I cushioned it out with clothes etc. every morning i would go to mcdonald's, get free hot water and make plunger coffee in my car. it was actually sort of comfy. this was during the colder seasons, so i was able to keep food in my car for a week. cereal with oat milk, nuts and berries for breakfast; sandwiches with fake meat, avocados/hummus, tomatoes and various dietary powder / seed supplements. dinner was usually the same, unless i had spare welfare cash to spend on a hot meal. i spent my days reading and writing and studying. for showers, i play a lot of social sport (like 5 evenings a week) so i would just shower after each game at the sport centers. i honestly didn't mind it all that much; in fact, it was extremely interesting sometimes. you notice things you otherwise wouldn't. and i always dressed well, stayed clean and was always very healthy due to exercise and good eating, so none of my friends (except maybe 2) or family even knew i was doing it lol, let alone strangers. probably the worst part was when it was randomly really hot. this year i've turned it all around; i've turned a few hundred bucks into a few hundred thousand with buidl. crazy how quickly life can change.
