here is my opinion on what is different now, or why PM's can moon
1. Pm's mooning wont affect the USD, sure many people invest in them due to loss of faith in the USD or banking system, but the same can be said for throwing all your money into stocks. Gold can go to 10k+ or silver to 1K and it doesn't mean jack shit to the vast majority of people who do not hold any, just as TSLA can go from 300 to 2k+.

2. last time there was a lot of things to be done to kick the can down the road, QE 1 2 3 and infinity, interest rates to 0%, ect now that stuff is already being done prior, and while its being ramped up significantly, ramping it up is good for PM"s, not doing it would crash the system, also good for PM"s

3. mass worldwide unrest, maybe people in your circle or in boomer circles are not talking about it, but most people I know, from both sides of the fence are extremely dissatisfied with the status quo.

FYI from what I can tell he's rocking a Minelab GPX5000 with an Evo 24x12 coil, which is a killer combo, both in terms of finding gold and wrecking your back! I've seen a few blokes around Creswick Vic with that combo (mainly cause the gpz7k is already too heavy without a big coil) and it does the job. There's probably quite a lot of decent pickers in the soil but you'd be unlikely to find them with a coil of that size.

Probably about $6k AUD to buy, not to mention how much they've paid for the claim, but hard to complain when you're pulling nuggets that size
