How do I cancel a transaction? I paid gas fees for a 30 sec transaction. Now it's saying it's saying token swap failed and it will take 2 days before it clears

do a "speed up" in metamask
it will cause a collision and the transaction will simply fail (thus freeing up your account for other stuff)

I did that, then it said failed. I tried 5 times without realizing they were all being blocked by the 1st transaction. Now the speed up option is gone and etherscan is showing I have 5 pending txns

Idk apparently if transactions failed they still cost gas for the attempt. This happened to me today too. Tried a second time and it worked but had to pay gas again.

Shouldn't they just fail then or pend forever? I sent link to metamask but realized I didnt use enough gas and it just stayed pending forever, the link stayed in my wallet though.

Yeah fuck this shit this is retarded. Metamask told me to pay extra for a 30s transaction. I paid up. Then it stayed on pending. I clicked speed up. Then it failed. I tried this four more times. Then I went to etherscan and saw I have 5 pending transactions, the first one I paid for a 30s transaction would take 2 days to clear and then ILL HAVE TO PAY ALL THE FUCKING GAS FEES ANYWAYS AND DRAIN MY ETH

You need to enable the ability to specify nonce. Do another transaction but send eth to yourself and with the nonce of the transaction that’s been stuck.

Do this and send a transaction to yourself for 0 ETH with the same nonce as each pending tx, starting with the first one you sent. Make sure to set the gas to fast
