What questions should I ask that will really make me stand out and appear as a potential candidate? What should I do?

Try wearing a cuttoff shirt and top hat. That will help you stand out

Just virtue signal and tell them about how you've always admired the man who killed Hitler

But for real.
You want to come off as applying to the company because you want to work there, as apposed to wanting money or benefits. So don't talk about compensation or benefits until you get an offer. Ask what a typical work day would look like.
Ask what first few weeks of onboarding will look like.
Ask if they have social events (shows you want to get along with coworkers).
