Reminder that the Chainlink dump started with a 1-minute market sell.

it started dumping again as soon as it was listed on bitfinex yesterday

It literally could not be more obvious that this is a manipulated dump ONE WEEK BEFORE SMARTCON. Kek I love watching nufags panic sell and freak out, this is their first rodeo

How is someone taking profit considered manipulation? Are they just supposed to hold forever so you can make money before they do?

Market selling that much =/= taking profit.

The seller caused $2 of price slippage with that one sell.

Did you not see the chart? There was nothing but upward movements. He could have literally just sold small stacks at a time, instead of dumping all at once, if he wanted to take profit.

It was done to cause panic.

who is smart enough to own 500,000 LINK but dumb enough to market sell them and miss out on almost $1,000,000

>> No.21713019

A few 500k+ whales are pushing down the price which can be seen by the original coordinated dump which started everything off. At the same time they have a massive leveraged short on so they are raking in the cash. They will use the money gained from the short to buy back twice as much link once people have capitulated around $9/$10. The price will then shoot up to $25 in a very short amount of time
Don't get shaken out, the next few weeks are going to be insane

So? No one cares. If they've made millions of dollars in a few days and there is enough volume to sell, why would they bother trying to wait to make sure they could liquidate?

Because by spacing out the sells over just a few hours, they could've made about $100k more by avoiding the price slippage.

>> No.21713504

It only makes sense to intentionally crash the price 10 days before the convention. If the price is overvalued there’s nowhere to go on 8/28 but down. If it’s undervalued there’s nowhere to go but up and whatever they say will be perceived as good news. Plus they make money at the expense of dipshit redditors who bought at $19. You can see what’s happening and use it to your advantage or just hold through it but it’s not something to panic over.

They'd rather risk $100k on absolutely certain monumental price slippage, than space out the sells with the option to stop when the price does dump.

Yeah, nah.

Correct. Anyone who thinks smart money is "selling the news", on an event featuring Oracle, Microsoft and other big names, TEN days before the event is fucking retarded. The redditors and newfriends from twatter are being shaken out so they rebuy much higher next time around.

>> No.21713666

Not claiming this is a technical analysis in the slightest but— let’s say Sergey and co are dumping the price preconference. It kind of makes sense. They make a big announcement, people can buy the dip. It doesn’t really look great to be at ATH at the conference. Just a casual theory.
