SpaceX is just a vanity project for Elon. imagine if every launch was watched closely by the market and it tanked 15% every time they made a mistake. I know SpaceX seems to be killing it now but I think a lot of people forget that even 2 years ago they were blowing up literally everything to perfect their reusable booster tech, and blowing up starship prototypes on tests for their new Raptor engines.

SpaceX is innovative. You know what happens to companies once they start being publicly traded? They quit innovation and make the same thing over and over again as long as it is profitable. They could never go to Mars or even the Moon as a publicly traded company. Investors would just want them to launch the same Falcon 9's with merlin engines for the entirety of time. Boeing is the best example of this, they can't make new planes, all they do is recreate the 737

They want more people in the market, that means more capital and thus inflationary pressures. It's exactly those means that they've used to "repair" the market during this panic. The fed squeezes liquidity into the bond market driving frontrunners with forward guidance and proceeds to purchase bonds and bond ETFs. Now that liquidity is forced into the market. They squeezed treasury yields and pushed safety into growth. They issued $1200 checks to people who scoff at that sum, and that money is going to go somewhere.

The more money in the market, the easier it is for institutions to manipulate and cheat money from individuals. The more money is there, the more money is to be made. Investors aren't sensitive to retail price movements, institutions make money off of them, retailers often gamble on them - depending on process that is.

I sold XOM at 43 a few months ago. I like the oil long play but I think midstream companies are safer and their balance sheets are often better. MMP yields about 10% for example and has the cash flow and balance sheet to support paying that yield indefinitely. EPD is another good midstream, and PSX too if you want a more diversified company.

I have no direct tsla stock but the only tech they have justifying valuation is self driving ai. If they do achieve first level 5 automation the effect on worlwide markets , ai investment, etc will be massive even outside tsla share.
