Gold is already around it's all time high. Silver has a long way to go to reach $50. With the money printers going brrr the way they do at the moment there's no reason to think both metals won't reach ATH and beyond. Also since silver is used up in industry there's less of it in bullion form.

Hey, you did alright at 30/oz. I just picked up a 2oz generic (pic related for design) for $60 from my LCS this morning. He'd even upped his government coins to 32/oz (previously was only $1 over generics). I may have to fall back to one ounce a week instead of two or more.

There isn't enough gold and silver to go around for everyone. I know people that are multi-millionaires and they don't have any gold other than their wedding bands. They don't even know silver has a value. Personally I wouldn't melt any jeweler and I think most jewelry should be kept as such because it's not going to be hard to replace once you sell it as scrap – though it's in the realm of possibility given how fucking retarded so many people are. In my small city there is a private dealer that has bought a few million euros in the last few years in scrap gold – from my educated guess he's sucked up about 15,000oz of gold. Last year it was starting to get hard for him to get scrap. It all gets melted down by his own little shop and sent to Switzerland. Who the final customers are I don't know. Even with that one guy sucking up all that gold it's still not much compared to the population.
