if you’re playing the uniswap game I’d suggest picking up 13 TRND. Spotting scams becomes very simple. Uniswap live feed is literally updated seconds after contract creation as well so you get the info quick and the chance to jump in first if it’s not a scam.

Find a coin you like then do your research, check the website and whitepaper and ask the questions, any real project will be transparent, search up the team members, what have they worked on before. Does the project make sense for real world. Who else is investing in the project are there well known investors.

think of what you would do if you were smart and understood what the winners were. would you just post about it here endlessly and raise the price so you yourself can't accumulate as much? or would you keep it to yourself?
the only winners anyone will shill here are the ones that are game changers and guaranteed to be long term holds (eth, link). but you'll still see heavy and convincing fud, its up to you to identify both good organic discussion, quality memes and lots of fud. shitcoins tend to have very little fud and focus on how much money you will make. everything being shilled on this board right now is a shitcoin and unless you are in a discord group or something you will almost guaranteed get dumped on. good luck.

Yes im a dirty phoneposter.
If a token gets burned which never entered the circulating supply its a fucking pajeet shitscam see statera

>> No.21492942

>>21492598
1.) The token needs a purpose. If it exists for the sake of existing, or it “solves” a problem that isn’t a problem, it’s probably dogshit. Some buzzwords nowadays are “staking”, “deflationary”, “governance”, “defi” etc. These mean nothing if the token is useless.
2.) Does it have a solid team, or are the developers anonymous? Unless it has a legit team actively working on the project, promoting it and forming partnerships, (check on github, twitter, etc), stay away.
3.) Do you understand it? Try to understand the tokenomics and its usecases before investing
4.) Is there upside? Or is it just a cash cow for the developers?

>> No.21492944

I would tell you to just look at the project and what it's trying to do and see if it makes sense and it's not just creating a problem for the project to solve. But I realize this is a tall order for a newfag as this only comes with experience as you come to see what blockchains are actually capable of doing at this point and where they fail. Going in Link is definitely a good move but don't put money into whatever shit is shilled here. If you see a thread about a coin here do what I said above, and never go more than 20% of your total crypto holdings into shitcoins. Keep 80% in link, ETH, BTC as a newfag and don't fucking sell if it dumps 10% or goes up 2x. The one thing you will fuck up is figuring out when to sell after the big pump in about a year or so

>How to spot crypto scams?
Team consists of chinks and pajeets or it's anonymous.
They try to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
Fake partnerships or massively exaggerated.
No github activity or fake activity (translations, correcting minor shit, etc).
Announcing announcements.
Team members openly speculate about the price on the twatter.
Circulating supply is MASSIVELY lower than maximum supply
No community around it, paid shills.

For this you have to DYOR (do your own research), what I do is check the site, click around, search for the team, search for their github, check github activity, check what programming language they use and how many contributers, search the project in google news, open whitepaper try to quickly skim it if it looks good, maybe check youtube, check total supply and marketcap, and check /biz/ sentiment.
>I also don’t understand how to buy crypto other then using coinbase.
Easy, sign up for Binance. You can move your crypto over from Coinbase to Binance, to do so simply click on binance:
'wallet' > 'spot wallet' > search for the coin > 'deposit' > copy the address
Now on coinbase there is a withdrawal option, just paste the address and boom, it might take a few seconds. Also be warry of transaction fees and all of that.
On binance you can trade, click on 'markets' look for trading pairs you're interested in and start trading.

The truth is that it doesn’t even matter at the end. During the 2017 bullrun there were bullshit coins that shot up in price. The trick is when to invest and when to pull out, because almost all of these coins have no usecase aside from BTC, ETH, and LINK

coinbase. can hit you for -10k +200k a year.
depending what/when you buy.

the "buy when theres blood in the streets" saying was 1 of the best advices i got after the march dip..

i read here, some anons panic sold then.
not me. i dumped a full paycheck in then.
and it worked out for the best.

you have no idea how much everyone around me hates me for investing.

fuck them.

i actually fired my boss and took a job with less hours/pay just to stay the fuck away from people telling me what to do with my money.
and for fucking with me. and even stealing my hours/money because i was doing too good.

i will probably end up sueing my last boss
because he stole over 5g from me alone, and close to the same from another employee that still works for him.

i don't trust anyone man.

i make alot of money now.

my crypto makes alot more money than i do now..

i try not to even look at shit from a paper dollar perspective anymore.

use it for simple shit.

and any big shit, other paths.

good thing about making alot of money, my social circle went from the low of society, to the serious businessman/successful people of society...

it's all new to me, but im learning the ways, and try to take not so much risk.

idk.
i got to go poop.

Bro I've been on /biz/ for a week now and even I can easily distinguish between scams and legit projects.
Just trust your instincts and refine it along the way as u make dumb mistakes

>> No.21494688

1. If there's no white paper, it's a scam
2. If it's a new coin and has a ton of meme images already, it's a scam
3. If it gets spammed in threads unrelated to it, it's a scam
4. If there is any Indian on the team for it, it's a scam
5. If there's tons of green wojaks despite only existing for a month, it's a scam

The best way to find non scams unironically is look for red wojaks or crying wojaks, do some research on those coins and see if it's a good project with actual rallies and dips
