Does the anxiety ever get better? I just put my first "serious" amount into crypto at 1500 dollars, and I was having nightmares of losing it all. Woke up to making 200 dollars, and wondering when to sell too. Don't want to be a guy who sells at a dollar when it ends up mooning to 50+

damned if I keep it damned if I don't

Try to funnel the anxiety into productive things. Whenever I see a big rise or crash, my brain has been trained to jack off and then focus on work.

If you're stressed out about this for real, sell enough so you make your original investment back, use the gains as playing money, whatever happens, happens.

It depends on how much you're willing to lose. I have about 2/3 of my savings in crypto. It's a big risk but the reward is so big that I wouldn't mind losing all if it didn't work out. I won't be able to retire early if not for crypto anyway so worst case scenario I just continue wageslaving like I do now.

Workout , watch a movie , listen to music , get your mind off it , and first of all you shouldn't be investing without a plan at all. You should have asked yourself if you're going to dip after a little bit of profit or you will sit on it long term through peake and dips in Hope's of making lots of money in the future

Yes, the longer you're in the market the easier it will get.

I sold BTC for 800 profit, when I could have had 5k profit a month later. It's something that you'll grow resistant to with time. Right now I'm up 60k on various tokens, but not selling

You may need to go through some cycles before your brain basically dies and you feel nothing.

Going from 5k to 150k made me feel euphoric 24/7 and an absolute chad slayer, I was super aggressive and ballsy, could fuck any girl I wanted and mog guys

Losing the 150k made me panicked, crippled and suicidal. Nothing left inside.

Getting to 1mm, I felt nothing.

Dropping from 1mm to 200k, I felt nothing

Returning to 1mm and going far beyond, again I felt nothing.

You just stop caring, either way.

Scared money don't put you on the street either. That's the point. Just because it worked out for you doesn't mean it's a good idea.

>> No.21398345

DCA in and out. Rebalance to meet your risk tolerance. You don't have to sell all of it at once, just sell bit by bit as it goes up significant increments. It wont maximise gains, but it means you wont be left bagholding on a crashed asset

I wouldn't put in anything I wasn't willing to lose. Your portfolio WILL take a huge shit at some point. If you're not YOLOing into shitcoins like most of /biz/ then you should be trading on fundamentals. If an asset goes down 75% but the fundamentals are still the same then you need to have those iron hands to keep hold of it. The only thing that matters is the buy date and the sell date - you can have the worst recession of all time in the middle as long as you hold it until it moons. Weak hands just leads to crystallising losses, and having more money at risk than you can handle forces you to sell as soon as things go bad,

I have literally 95% percent of my networth in crypto, you need to study bitcoin and all its tangents: money, game theory, Austrian economics, compsci, etc.

I’ve only made a couple hundred since I got into this a week ago. I’m more nervous about my USD becoming worthless than crypto.
I think I might just put most of the rest of my assets into Algorand. Link is over, but we can still make a killing on other coins.
When I have enough I’ll convert 75% to a stable coin or precious metals, and the rest in BTC for long term storage. As long as I keep an eye on the markets and continue to make smart investments early on, I could make it in a year’s time. Crypto is the future of currency.
