also so much that if ever BTC dips to 3K, im loading massive. im a patient man, can wait. if not, still holding massive amount of USD worth to me in crypto.

It was sometime mid 2018, and had a crying wojack in front of a computer screen.
I've been involved in the LINK community since 2017. I have browsed /biz/ since 2016. I witnessed Ethereum climb past me from 80 cents to $1400 all the while I was busy chasing shitcoin pumps.
Not this time. Still have my entire stack. Never fucking sold.

We just have our hands up saying 'welp, this is it boys. Now we just have to wait.'"

Theres something oddly poetic about putting a thought out in this website, fully expecting it to dissapear once the thread 404s, but only having it saved by someone who was touched in one way or the other by reading it. What an amazing thread that was. >>21237374 was posted in it and even another one of my posts I see circulated is there (pic).

Alot of memes I totally forgot about, like the Chainlink sigil jerk off shit. A poorfag talking about his 2k stack that would now be worth $26,000. Funny, even a 10k stack was borderline poorfag back then. Part of me is sad to see that the community has changed so drastically. It really felt like a little family back then. Us against the world. We were universally hated on this board. But part of me is happy to see what the community has become and have others aboard our little yacht sailing off into the ocean. Even the vernacular of /biz/ is different then what it was then. but still, little remnants of our community survive. What a truly incredible experience this has been, and yet it has only just begun.

Thanks for that. It was a blast down memory lane.

Some threads I get a vibe of oldfaggy. I think most still browse, but only shitpost. It's hard to tell, I remember starting to feel the vibe shift after the IC3 announcement in 2018. Once mainnet released and the Oracle/Google/Coinbase news broke, this place was almost unrecognizable. It's important to remember that everything in life is temporary, nothing is permanent. This thread has brought up feelings I have not felt in awhile. The past year has just been me sitting on my hands awaiting the inevitable, and I've admittingly grown rather cynical over the current state of Chainlink's community. There's nothing inherently wrong about it, I just miss the old times when we would share our excitement together. There was no other place on the internet to talk about it. Anytime you tried sharing your excitement in real life, we were always met with jeers, ridicule, or just get flat out ignored.

Funny, we are impossible to ignore now.

you nailed it, this board never was the same after google pump and a drop to 1,5$ in bleeding months.

that said, it had zero fuckin fundamental reason to drop in price yet it did.

just like it had zero fundamental reason to drop to 1,5$ in March.

just because this was a beautiful yourney, doesn't mean LINK will go up forever.

flash crash aka rugpull can happen anytime all across the market. BTC to 9K in one 1H candle. Eth back to 300, and LINK back to 5$.

market doesnt give a flying fuck about our feelings and i would even argue that after witnessing 17' and all those years of holding LINK from 2018 , everything can happen.

LINK was THE crypto project, and it dumped in price multiple times, because its whale controlled market.

And im not giving them back those gains. keeping a bag for dreams and memes, but those fags wont catch me slippin.

Do as you please, but i think OG's jobs is to actually teach newfags how fuckin manipulated this market is.

If we inject new /biz/raelis with only hope and bull feels, we are setting them up for losing money big time.

sure, it may dump in the short term.
but none of us have ever thought in the short term. We've have always been playing the long game.

where you here to witness the entirety of the 2017 cycle? You should use that as a barometer for what is currently occuring. If you were not here to witness it- I can assure you now is not the time to start offloading.

Although I can remember the sentiment with some anons back in the day of only reaching a $10 top. It was my biggest fear, having it see middle ground gains but nothing spectacular. The recent move up to $14 with the overall timing of this market is starting to shift my feelings and increase my original sell out price points. If you have been here awhile, you should know by now that the success of LINK should never be seen as a middle ground. We either hold on to this to see crazy gains, or hold on to this as the project crashes and burns. It should be obvious by now this isn't your typical pump and dump shitcoin. LINK is poised to change not only this entire space, but the world. We really do have another beast on our hands. Are you so willing to give that up for a measly $13?

anyhow, it's your money. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

and im on the side that 2017 is never coming back, defi is a bubble just like ICOs and DAO were, and retail normies are not coming in en masse after losing most of their life savings and telling every friend about it.

i tried shilling LINK to more than 30+ people in my normie circle, not one bought anything.

they are never coming to crypto after 2017-2018 and thats hard cold truth.

i unloaded 80% of my LINK stack already, and for sure it doesnt feel as great as it would be unloading at 50$, 100$, but i have to separate my dreams, delusion and schizo from a fuckin market and world situation.

gold is soaring, silver is soaring, stocks are soaring, crypto scams are popping off left and right.

ive seen this movie before, and im getting the fuck out when im TURBO in green.

even if im wrong big, i still have a stack, but when those whales alert starts popping and those old wallets moving - im out of reach.

and this time will sure come. dunno whats the price and idgaf.

LINK made people here millionaires already, im not the one because i didnt bought big, but i was ALL-IN for 2 years. now im 20% in.

this is just a casino, and i just took the risk of me jumping off the balcony when i see all those gains out gone in one evening out of equation.

also disclaimer- all of my IRL friends, never bought crypto prior. they just heard about crypto crash, and they cant grasp the idea of unregulated market that they can lose all of their money overnight.

no regulations no normies - regulations > dead of 99% crypto as it should be.

99% of projects on CMC right now are fuckin useless vaporwave scams, we both know it.

BTC/ETH/LINK , some other currencies and list should end at like 20-30 projects.

and thats my realist perspective that i posted here on this board for years.

99% of crypto should cease to exist, then we can have some progress in the space.

Yeah I agree with this. I was going to sell like 10k LINK at $10, but looking at the overall market it wasn't feeling right.
A crash to $8 or so is very possible, but that still feels like insane money to me.
I believe in crypto more than ever, and one look at the lifetime LINK chart it is obviously the best chart in all of crypto.

nah. crypto at this stage is about trading to a lot of people, but institutional money (banks, retail corporations, etc.) are coming in more. crypto is a new thing so of course normies will be skeptical but there are also normies who jumped in after seeing crypto rise against after the first mainstream crash.

still to this day most people have no clue what it is, and if they do they know bitcoin and MAYBE ethereum. most people also don't invest in stocks. hell stocks are just now becoming very mainstream with apps like robinhood and webull. crypto hasn't even scratched the surface. we are at he 4th industrial revolution. getting out now would be like those people resisting streaming services in favor of regular plug-in cable tv

You sound like you are going by emotion and fear more than anyone. Logically the crypto market is looking pretty good, and LINK is looking amazing.
I am sure there was tons of euphoria when Eth hit $70 for all the old holders. I got into Eth at $75, there was tons of euphoria everywhere.
Just because people who have been holding for 2+ years are in massive profits doesn't mean anything.
Look at the rest of the market, most coins are still down 85%+

they are dead and worth nothing, ZERO, NULL, NADA. they shouldnt even exist in first place as they were only a mechanism to scam people out of their money.

also im done arguing. scams popping out left and right, band did 0,19 to 18 bucks run in matter of months.

if you think this is not a bubble ready to be popped, i have nothing else to say.

also its 3am, done my job here today, if i at least gave 1 new anon here a broader perspective of what CAN also happen im good.

but you didn't because the same thing happens in the stock market too. yeah there are pump and dumps but you can treat a lot of these coins as startup companies, who will become major players in the very near future. you will always have new competitors that rise up. some will make it, some won't. it's very naive to think this is the top. this is only the beginning of the next bullrun. like someone mentioned earlier, euphoria feelings are not new to this space. you will be kicking yourself later, I guarantee it

crypto bull runs last longer than like a month dude. i get your sentiment but what youre failing to realize is the length of these bull runs. i think probably you got in right at the end of the last pump in 2018 and so your experience of getting to the top is based on a really quick experience you had then, when old fags were riding the pump for a while year before it peaked. we just got started.
