How much does your networth need to be to not be considered poor? I don't mean to be considered rich, just not poor.

20k? 30k? 50k? 100k?

I think most people are in the hole tens of thousands of dollars at that age, from college debt and whatnot.

>> No.21188715

Depends on where you live, but not being poor means that you have no real dept (except for a morgage) and that you have enough money on hand to not worry about emergency expenses like replacing a Dishwasher or even a car when it breaks down for whatever reason.

Does this include real estate? Because if so I have over 300K if not i only have 10K

>> No.21189212

laughing at all these young people worrying about their finances. i am old millennial but I traveled and just played music and didn't give a damn about making money til I was 32. I am 38 and doing great. It's cool all of you care about financial stability but if you are under 30 and have no debt and at least some prospects of making money in the next few months, you are doing fine. Don't go bald or grey or have heart problems stressing about money. Be well rounded.

>> No.21189240

Debt slave: less than $0
Poor fag: $0 to $10k

Its net worth, so it includes real estate, but you have to subtract any debt like a mortgage.

>> No.21190654

net worth doesn't matter so much, net income does. Do you make more money than you spend? If not, you will run out eventually, unless you are really really rich.

I’m 36 my net worth is 250k (25k crypto 75k stocks 150k cash) and debt free. Still haven’t bought a house yet. I consider myself poor. If you have less than me you are definitely in extreme poverty
