Boomers will say Bitcoin is a "safe investment" even though it seems to be dying off. They will spout "store of value" or "digital gold", but from a fundamental aspect those don't make sense at all. Bitcoin can't scale so it won't become some utopia's world reserve currency. Ethereum is an ok bluechip since it is needed for smartcontracts and I seriously doubt we will see any better platform come take over Ethereum. The community and development is wayy ahead of anything else and although other platforms might claim 7k TPS, they certainly haven't showed it(while maintaining security and decentralisation). However the best bluechip is Chainlink due to its fundamental aspect(plus it's still quite low cap compared to Ethereum and Bitcoin). It's just guaranteed to go up since it's THE decentralised oracle network and it has the most calculated CEO in crypto space.

So I would just focus on stacking LINKs or chasing some shitcoins to then convert to LINKs.

The thing with crypto though is that while it can be used for things which benefit an authoritarian state (oracles and smart contracts used to limit what people can do and increase surveillance), it can also be used to undermine it. This is why you'll see them increasingly come with bullshit "hacking" crimes which involve crypto, to create this criminal perception of it. They also make KYC exchanges readily accessible and easier to use, compared to things like DEXs, further turning crypto into a parody of what it's arguably meant to be about. You are right, in the sense of digital currencies likely coming in to "replace" failing fiat versions, and while bitcoin will benefit from this, it won't be what replaces those fiat currencies.
