Anyone here ever do business with the Japanese? Experiences?

I remember seeing a thread here a few years ago about doing business with the Chinese, and to avoid at all costs. I think Japanese business is the exact opposite, and I get the sense their honour is second to none. The disparity in culture is what seems like the biggest reason not to deal with them, which is a shame... is it possible?

I’ll add their work ethic is amazing too and it’s just expected of them to take on managerial responsibility for minimum wage, in that sense it’s one of the best places to set something up I’d you want to be hands off, if you speak near native Japanese they do actually show you real respect which is nice. But yeah this dude I know started a software company that grew to mid 8 figures and they just ousted him when they got the opportunity it’s kind of common

Japan does some of the same things that China has done but are much more subtle about it. They spent the last 60 years stealing Western tech/knowledge so they could modernize their economy but we turned a blind eye to it because they were a useful beachhead into Asia.
