Anyone else know the deal sending things internationally? Are charges always applied, what are the usual rates, does saying it's a gift or sale make it cheaper?

You just send shit and lose 50% of it. I tried to send my LOKI over seas by splitting up the private keys and I never got 1/3rd it's unironically over for me

lol, marking it is a gift worked back in 2004, not anymore. Just declare way lower value. Like the customs going pick your package, open it and look on the internet if the value corresponds with whats in the box.

I’ve imported for couple of thousand off goods from the US to EU, never paid a dime in tax.

Problem is i want insurance in case the buyer rips me off and says it never arrived, so there's a record of the value.

Use a freight forwarder or trusted party you know from that particular country.

I'm using UPS tracked and signed. I don't normally send anything so it's all kind of trial and error.

Imagine working as a customs officer. Sad, pathetic npc wagecuck.

Got it. Well I can tell you my experience from US to EU. I shop online in the US, use eBay USA and get the sellers to send my stuff to a warehouse in a state without sales tax, they collect my stuff and photograph it, so if there's anything wrong I can file a claim. If everything is fine they put it in a big box and ship it to me. I can fill in my own customs form. Might be useful if you're going to do this more often. I'm pretty sure they have a warehouse in Europese as well.

Depends man. There's also custom officers working in harbors, breaking open cargo containers full of yayo or counterfeit money. They probably keep some shit for themselves.
