Bancor is a slave to cexes because their model relies on oracles to provide 'true' cex prices, but that assumes dex volume is just a tiny fraction of the total volume. Rather than compute the price from the pool's balances they use an oracle.

When dexes start dominating it means it's profitable to manipulate cex price to trade with a bancor pool using a fake price. It's a fundamentally wrong model.
