It is more likely that link goes up than goes down in the long run. I know 'past performance is not an indicator etc etc etc' but the odds of getting more link is less than 49%, whereas losing is AT LEAST 51%. These are not good odds to begin with.

To add to that is the fact we're in a bull market. So you can change those odds to 60-40.

Even further is the huge amount of shorting that has been done on link in the past 2 weeks. There are millions of link on the market that shouldn't be, and they will have to be bought back when the price rises too much and Simeon gets liquidated. So you are guaranteed to see a spike if link reaches $8-9. This will wipe out around 15% of your stack if you are currently swinging.

In summary, the risk is massive, the potential gain is minimal, and you will be better off not even trying. The 1 or 2 people per dozen who make solid gains on swinging have nothing more than a bit of luck, and thinking you have more luck than the next sucker is just gambling, not investing. And you're betting against the house.

only reason it works sometimes is because so many people learned how to do TA (technical analysis) in this way that it does sometimes affect the price of an asset due to those people trading off this stuff
it makes the fact that everything in crypto a gamble a way to pat yourself on the back for calling it right or to have an excuse for losing money
when TA works out, people think they're geniuses for profiting on it
when TA doesn't work out, they claim it's because of x, y, z reasons and the market being irrational or because another crypto moving in one direction affected the one they're trading negatively and numerous other excuses
only working strategies:
1. be a whale and manipulate markets
2. buy and hold long term and hope the project you chose can make enough promises and get enough "partnerships" to make normans buy your bags
