Yes and SLV holders will be told they will be paid out in dollars at the end of the month. Meanwhile the contract price goes to zero because getting delivery is the whole point, it's a worthless contract without delivery.

SLV holders will literally get zero dollars for their contracts if there is a failure to deliver. Physical holders will be enriched beyond their wildest dreams.

>How many people in russia stack?
Not a lot, know that my cousin stacks. He stacked before 2007-2008 and in 2010 approx. made a lot of fiat on gold. Then spent it for real estate.
>Will the government seize people private metals?
This can happen as a couple of times they seized dollars or German marks. They did not come to your house, just stole the bank deposits in foreign currency.
Actually they can just say that the bank is bankrupt and we can refund your dollar deposit in roubles. And this can mean the bank went bankrupt when dollar was 70 roubles, now it is 100 roubles but they will pay you 70 roubles. Or maybe they will pay 100 but you will not be able to buy dollars at all as there is a lack of dollars at the market.
>Any fear of that?
Afraid as now real shit in economy is starting to happen. And now we are not the Russia of 90s when the state didn't put opposition into jails and was not so inadequate as today. Putin can do anything which comes to his head.

Assuming there won't be a full-on societal collapse, with no electricity, nationalizations of mines, etc. are there really any advantages in buying physical over well-diversified miners?
I spent almost all of my savings on 160oz of silver and 2.5oz of gold, because I didn't want to just leave it sitting on a bank account, but with European taxes and premiums, even though the spot price of gold has increased like 400$ and silver 10$ since I bought, I don't think I'm at the break-even point yet, whereas with the miners recommended here I would've easily doubled my wealth already.
Hence I'm wondering why physical is so widely advocated instead of building a decent miners portfolio from the get-go, since they move in the same direction and both hedge agains inflation, miners just provide much greater gains and don't require huge additional costs before even turning any profit, while offering the same asset exposure.
Please tell me there are some realistic upsides to my decision, because I'm feeling some crazy buyer's remorse right now, bros

Live in Russia and want to have a possibility to leave Russia when real political shit happens: mass arrests, seizure of property and a total degradation of the economy with Putin ruling until 2036 or like that.
Also want to spend time outside Russia when I want and to do some creative work that is not paid instead of working for money.
Seems a wet dream buit anything can happen.

Should have bought in a way to avoid VAT anon, even with 20% vat you should have made bank if silver really did go up 10$ since you bought. literally only thing different between you and USA is the VAT, you can get around it:
-by using a courier to deliver form other areas (do group buys like with backyard bullion on YT)
-by buying your government's coins
-private deals
-ebay
-ordering online, to a trusted friend/po box in a country what does not have VAT, then taking a quick train ride or something to pick it up.

Turn that buyers remorse into resolve to undo the slavery that VAT is... all the over taxation is criminal.

This a very real possibility even in Western Nations. Mind you they won't call it that, but the tax burden and regulations on them would be severe enough for it to be true all in name.

Suddenly it becomes five percent easier to pay off all existing debts every year. Instead of paying off debts (impossible), they can be inflated away. It won't work, it never does but will be funny to watch them try.

I own some Ag miners and everyday there's a game to play.

There's a low chance the stock market crashes because of macro-economics, that wont leave any survivors.

There's a low, increasing chance the COMEX suppression ends, and I get to liquidate some miner shares (that will probably be in the black).

Does any anon have an estimate for the end of price suppression? I only know COMEX has to fulfill larger and larger physical deliveries (55k orders for june), but what's their current silver position?

I swear to the divine, if I get to liquidate half my miner shares successfully, I'm putting them in gold and not touching them until after the crash.

Because once inflation starts to run away even more than they wanted to, it becomes difficult to control with raising rates because you are constantly behind the curve, reacting the currency entering the system that may have been created months ago. Also once inflation starts the velocity of money increases as people start to ditch money as soon as they get it which exacerbates the problem. Its mostly an ideology thing for the really intellectually dishonest stackers like PanMan, I think. The idea of 'the divine right of physical' is perceived as backwards, despite a metal-less paper like he wants being only functional at a tribal level of complexity. It goes with the idea of thinking the dark ages were really dark, that paper metal isn't real, that Comex has loaned out each mercury dime to numerous housewife's of I'll repute. These things cannot happen, sunshine and rainbows, fundamental human equality, but refuses to let that equality be played out across the metal sector, despite it being in every other aspect of his society. The Anti physical shill can never can answer: so what do you do when the 32% premium turns into a 12% discount?

Boomer spitting fire recognized by higher powers

Spot and phys will converge at that point as Comex collapses, because of severe supply/demand imbalance as demand approaches zero and supply spikes due to people waiting for a dip, or else dealers simply refuse to sell and wait for it to fall back. Plunge Protection Team

But this is all academic, because, institutional investors fucked up by getting caught and having to sell PMs in march. Make no mistake, many people on wall street know the score now (even if the media is controlled) and they're very quietly repositioning themselves such that they have sustainable PM hedges, and many of them physical and allocated. Guys, I've been thinking about the credit card convo last night. I have an excellent credit score and here's my plan.

1. Open 2-4 accounts w/ different credit card merchants. Get the 0% APR deal that lasts for 12-18 months. Possibly get $200 per account if you spend X as well.

2. Spend it all on PM's + Miners.

3. Take profit as it comes, then pay off of transfer balance on the loans when the 0% APR period ends.

Besides the obvious risk of my investments losing money, are there any flaws I am overlooking with this plan?

in my country, capital gains tax is calculated at
>(sale price) - (buy price) = taxable income
this figure is then added to your income tax for the year, and you get taxed at the new rate appropriate to your income level
if a certain crypto goes to $1, my friend will hold $250,000 of it and have to give 46% of that AND his day job's earnings to the taxation office... for doing sweet fuck all
they will then give said cash to single mothers, blacks, foreign countries and government employees

I'm an artist, and I collect art. If you're interested in art I'd highly recommend getting to know your local art scene, go to openings and such, and buy the work of local artists. It's sort of like crypto at that level; you buy a bunch of random shitcoins, thinking one of them might moon, with the added caveat that you get cool art to hang on your walls. If an artist's career takes off, you very well might make a profit, I wouldn't expect to though.

The people who make the real money in the art market are, as with other markets, those with enough capital to also manipulate the market. These big collectors will literally buy the work of an emerging artist cheaply, and then immediately flip it for more money, until you have a painting that initially sold for $3k up for sale at Sotheby's for $1 million. It's insane.

The baseball card market is not what you think. It's actually taken off because of the massive bust in the 90s, it got heavily consolidated and controlled. Oh man I wish....

if we hit 22 I will be extremely happy to stack some, but I suspect premiums willbe 10+

if it hit 12 premiums would be 20+

who would buy that though?

im tired of this supply/demand being detached from market value. its so hard to fucking figure uot where this is going. at least during 2008-2009 crash, the metal dealers pretty much charged spot and maybe a couple bucks premium at most

The chances of real physical silver you can buy crashing to 12 is farcical. I'm Australia silver is 33 right now, coins are being sold for 41 and they're still on back order.

thats short term though. right now supply is completely tied up because mints are shut down due to virus, and the supply line is affected as well due to miners and dealers being impacted as well.

im just trying to figure out if silver is still worth stacking at current prices, or if in a couple months these ridiculous premiums are going to drop like a rock with silver market value

And long term there's no bullish factors for silver? No trillions in money printing? No yield control? Even if mines all start back up, the major deposits have been in decline for the last three years. There is no major supply of silver just waiting to be dumped on the market.

thats because 08 was not a crash, its was just a blip, whats coming is likely an actual crash. there were no shortages back then either,

or riots

or a pandemic that put 1/2 the people out of work

The reason behind the myth of vampires fearing silver is that bacteria and the like can't grow on Silver, this is something that was discovered about silver in the middle ages, before they even knew what bacteria and the like were. They assumed Silver had a magical property because of this.
Silver is also what all the mirrors were made from back then, which is also where the "Vampires can't see themselves in a mirror" thing came from. Silver was revered not just for being a shiny rock, but supposedly magical.
