I own quite an amount of both, so reading this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=724710.0))
concerned me. Post is pretty old tho. Thoughts?

Almost all coins are scams, you just need to get out of them before they drop in price.

yes
>is ripple a scam
kind've, it's literally a pay-to-play currency specifically for wealthy bankers.

People are gonna get fucked hard if they hold past a buck, and even then most people aren't sure it'll even hit that.

Ripple is a scam. I know nothing about Stellar however.

You seem to have knowledge about that stuff.
Ether is clean right? What do you think about DGB and LTC?

>> No.2082824

What defines a scam? Developers dumping everything they have at some point?

>> No.2082830

Ether could go either way, but based on how the market perceives it, it'll hold its value for the corps. that back it AND investors since it's platform can be used by anyone.

I like the concept of DGB, but I there's a few other coins like GameCredits that do the same thing. I have 200k, but I was in at 80 sats but that's more or less just gambling 100 dollars.

LTC too soon to tell for me personally, building a coin around trying to slay BTC doesn't sit well with me. I don't hold any, but I might.

And to anyone that asks why XRP is bad: are you a bank? What use do you personally have for XRP? Exactly. You're not holding stake in anything by holding XRP.

>> No.2082835

>>2082824
Devs hold a large majority of XRP so they can literally manipulate the price to whatever they want it to be, you may be able to make some gains getting in and out of Ripple at the right time but it isn't an investment, just a gamble.

Thanks for the info bro. Mind to recommend a rather broke high school student good sources/ relatively safe but not too popular cryptos to hold?

That would be Blocknet in my opinion, but do your own research before taking my word for it.

... this is literally the 5th time today I have had to say this to people who dont bother doing research.

there is going to be a lock up to appease the banks, at which point the amount the devs hold is completely irreverent.

Yeah but the devs hold the most so they manipulate the price.

You need to dump the coins to manipulate the price. It's locked up, they can't dump

GameCredits is a vaporware scam though, their product is vaporwave and they are in it to scam the "investors"
