JEEEESUS CHRIST you bet HOW much on a miner pennystock based on speculation of drilling samples??

I was the one who brought you up, I bought and then got spooked out of NRG back in the day. Almost bought GOVIEX too or whatever the uranium miner you posted about was called.

I did, a small position that I got after it already pumped to 0.22. I hope it goes somewhere, since I don’t have the time to review all the files in their Dropbox, and don’t know how to analyze miners anyways.

So what's the play after precious metals, bros? I managed to accumulate SLV and RGLD before the insane gap ups started, but now I feel that small miners in particular will be out of reach soon in terms of remaining upside potential vs risk of huge dumps. RGLD is the one I'll keep buying since they have solid long-term fundamentals and aren't levered to gold/silver like miners (WPM and FNV also are like this, I just chose RGLD).

I was looking at other commodities, but they have their own cycles that may overshadow the +/- from inflation (though I did get some oil stocks). Tech stocks are overvalued, I'm not an expert in biomemes so I probably can't pick the good ones, boring industrials even at these P/E will probably dump more if the broader economy slows down, semis are probably solid but I already own a bunch... Anything else? Maybe it's unusual to get a play as obvious as PM's during moneyprinting but I'm out of clear sector ideas.

My book value is about $8500 so I'm up 100% already. At this point I'm not speculating on the drill samples, I'm speculating on a buyout in a few years' time or less. I've been in NRG for ~3 years now so I have no problem with waiting. I've done so much research on this stock. Both myself and everyone I've talked to thinks there is a huge opportunity here.

My initial shilling was poorly timed for sure, both for NRG and FCU (the uranium play). Soz to those who lost money but hey, at least there's another chance to make some now :)

Same. Seriously though, what are the chances the NASDAQ literally manages to drive it to 0? I really doubt this, right now, yes, right here, is the actual end of tech outspacing the S&P. Probably a lot of volatility through earnings and it might take a while for it to claw its way up again, but I don't fucking care anymore. Tech is going to go up forever anyway.

I expect bleeding out into earnings, and then some more big drops, followed by people swooping in to get cheaper shares of MSFT and AAPL.

I can see TQQQ going to maybe 60 at the worst if this really is a big tech bubble pop but tech is too resilient in the long run.

i'm planning to do TQQQ as a short term thing. If this virus was all we needed for the end times of tech i would've waited longer before i bought

I was thinking about holding it long term, but I've now decided that's pretty stupid and I'd rather just own shares of companies if I'm genuinely bullish on tech.

Problem is I'm averaged in at 109 and I can see it staying below that level for a while now. The 3-month charts on Apple and Microsoft don't indicate further skyward movement so the NASDAQ might just stall out here. I still don't know whether I want to sell at a loss or wait for the inevitable move up.

are you considering oil because you actually understand the politics behind it or do you just say oil because it's typical boomer shit. Every new investory seems to have the same thought, and let me remind you that looking at 5-year stock charts and hoping these "discounted" stock prices will just magically go back to their 2019 valuations after a year is not DD. They are losers for a reason.
What is your reasoning for considering oil over tech/semi with certain growth? A dip is in progress for a lot of tech shit (except TSM and AMD) with earnings volatility, don't miss the chance to look into it.

do you realize you are now in the classic bagholder mentality?
don't buy into high-risk picks without a plan on when to cut losses unless you're confident and ok writing the entire thing off for some reason (high-risk speculative play).

You're only like 3% down right now, but you should really decide before Monday whether you will cut losses at 10% or 15% or whatever. Same thing if it goes up, decide when you will take profits OR at least where you will put stop losses if you want to ride the wave up if you expect it to rally for longer.

>> No.20671072

look there's no problem diversifying into your oil pick, but you'd be a fool to not also diversify into tech. If you really have no idea how to understand what tech companies are ahead of the game (e.g. Intel vs AMD, writing on the wall was already apparent for several years, Intel continues to stagnate and Jim Keller leaving it was really bullish for AMD although it sure took awhile to show the consequences) then just buy SOXX. Personally i don't like SOXX since i'd rather avoid exposing myself to AMD and NVDA with their ridiculous valuations. i dont wanna say the other pick since /smg/ already memes it so much but i'm heavy into that instead

>> No.20671076

I didn't, and don't, consider it high-risk. The prospect of the NASDAQ dipping another 33% seems preposterous to me. It's the realization that I'd rather not hold through months of turbulence and a potential trend to the downside.
