it might not be in the near-future, but if there is not a natural mechanism that makes it very difficult to mint new coins at the will of the largest operator of the network, you will eventually get new coins.
funny enough, there isn't really a natural mechanism that i'm aware of that necessarily prevents the "minting" of new gold or silver. bitcoin is quite resilient yet, though blockstream challenges this.

That’s one thing that exarpeepee have no idea because absolutely nobody has no idea on what’s going to happen with this government issued stablecoin that we’re about to be issued. XRP is focused on cross boarder payments and there is much that is yet to be speculated upon (like the derivatives market) which XRP has been pushing to get their hands into like nobody else in the crypto space.
