The way it is looking is that ethereum isn’t not only going anywhere like btc, but everything is being built on it. Within 5 years we will likely have sharding finally on the main chain, and then it will become *the* resolution and settlement chain of the new world. Look beyond the current defi fomo and ETH 2.0 phase 0 launch. Think about what happens with phase 1 & 2, which are btw way easier to deploy than phase 0, the heart of the next infrastructure.

There was a post in the eth developer discord that they performed a private demonstration of eth2 spec 0 testnet under load to a group of silicon valley venture capital firms on tuesday.

Eth2 works; all of it. Sharding, staking, PoS, evm, wasm, 100,000 tps. Its already alive and working flawlessly, a few more months of testing and it will be released. This will change everything.
