Income
Wealth

The system is designed that the whole point of income is to build wealth. You must be both good at securing income and at finding a way to generate wealth and returns on said capital.

Income alone is basically 1/3rd of the system and a dead end / much more risky to rely on.

Because growth stocks have even better premiums. Netflix calls a year out function like 20% yield "dividends" with a "worst case" scenario of 15% capital gain.
You accomplish more with covered calls on growth stocks with small (or non-existent) dividends with less capital than ANY dividend strategy. Like its 10x multipliers here.

Correct. Dividend investing can be investing in raw dividend yield (the type of boomer investing that's despised) and dividend appreciation/growth, which is more common.
Growth investing and dividend investing can go hand in hand and it really is an issue of wrongfully assigning labels. AAPL is a dividend stock AND a growth stock.

Thats not the issue here.
Youre investing hoping for the value to grow, not because of the dividend. How hard is that to understand?

If I say my portfolio is 50% MSFT and 50% AMZN to profit from defense spending that doesnt mean its bad portfolio. Its just....

>its dividend growth investing because the focus is on companies growing their dividend.
Then you would be better off finding high IV stable stocks to sell covered calls on. Not dividends. A single OTM weekly covered call on MSFT is worth more than a whole year of MSFT dividends. And MSFT has a higher "dividend" than AAPL (.05% or whatever)

Until central banks stop printing. Oh wait. That'll never happen.

I expect a 3-5 year bull market in precious metals. Gold to around $5000.

Pic related is the gold/silver ratio since 1915. I expect it to go down to at least 40, maybe with spikes even further down to 20 or so. But even taking just 40 conservatively, with gold at $5000, that puts silver at $125. Again this is a 3-5 year timeline, not a short-term swingtrade

There's no point to growing dividends in that situation. If you need income, you want a higher dividend yield than 3%. If you don't need the income, you would be fucking retarded to be dividend investing, regardless of if it's dividend growth or not, because of the lower performance.

The dollar isn't going to become worthless. If it does, we'll all have bigger problems than our portfolios. The ability to produce food, water, and shelter will the main concerns. Thats why I own a small rural farm with a well and solar panels. You're missing the point. The presence of a dividend doesn't impair you from writing covered calls on growth stocks because growth stocks can also be dividend stocks.
Dividends aren't the problem here, nor is there a lack of growth stocks with growing dividends to implement the strategy you outlined on.

>>20587965
>Its a growth stock. Youre hoping for the value to increase, not the irrelevant dividend. The dividend will grow as a side effect of the value of the stock increasing
From your perspective, sure. But another investor or institution could just as easily see it as a component of a growing dividend portfolio.
Check out the holdings of VIG, there's some names you wouldn't expect in there that qualified for the fund due to their dividends.
