If they miss EPS estimate, severity of sell off MIGHT be affected by the company's moat, cash position, burn rate, and expectation the earnings miss was a special circumstance for the quarter and no indicative of the company being shit and getting shittier. You are likely to see investors turn a blind eye in some cases to horrifically bad numbers this quarter in expectation company will rapidly bounce back to some significant percentage of their previous revenue average. This will probably happen to select airlines, cruises, hotels and retaurants..
