20479581 No.20479581 [Reply] [Original]

How can all of you risk your money in such speculative shitcoins and p&d schemes? How do I become more tolerant of risk. Do I need more testosterone or is it because you all are autistic or something? Watching a coin drop 10% in a single day would make me sick to my stomach.

It’s both desu. Grow a pair, or invest less money, or just leave this board cause this board will make you more insane than you already are.

If a coin you own has dropped 10%, you’re owning the wrong coin.

Find a coin with good pumpamentals (good tech, team, whitepaper, use case) and is yet to pump. Throw a small amount at it. Withdraw your initial investment once it has doubled, tripled, whatever.

Rinse and repeat, gradually building your initial investment.

You sound like a person that comes from a middle class, comfy background and as such you haven't had the need and been given the tools in life to break your risk aversion. Maybe this doesn't apply to you but it's the still generally the case.

Poor people end up being in the top 1% more often than those who eek out a comfortable existence through wagecucking. The mentality of "I better risk damn near everything I have or else I'll be stuck in poverty" does wonders to your investment attitude.

You should start investing your money on a weekly basis and once you tallied up some loses and some gains it'll start to get easier.

It depends on your goals, you can't win big without risking big. That doesn't mean you should be stupid and throw your money at whatever is shilled here, but if you take time to research and do your due diligence then a 10% drop shouldn't be a problem if you're confident that it'll be higher in the future (advocating fundamental analysis instead of technical analysis / charting. The latter is helpful for entry and exit though).

The trick is to feel so dead inside you are immune to the volatility of cryptocurrency because you feel no emotion.

Also you, yourself, have to realize that your desire to gain is bigger than your fear of losing. With goals in mind, you work and find ways to attain it.

In 4 years of crypto I can't even remember how many times I had 50-90% losses.
But overall I'm up by a big margin, because in time you start to get a feel for spotting undervalued coins with good pumpamentals.

You can't lose what you don't have.
I came to this board a year ago totally fucking destitute. I had my shitty, minimum-wage job and I was depressed. That's it.
Now, for the first time in my life, I have a nest egg. $14k. Not a lot, no, but wow, what I would have given for even half of that a year ago!
I had nothing to lose and everything to gain, so what choice did I have?

If you can identify something that's likely to blow up based on the technology or niche it fills and get in at a low enough price per coin no amount of dropping will concern you because something has to go catastrophically wrong for it to drop low enough to fuck you.
And, really, at that point it's less you choosing a bad coin and more you needing to reflect on what you've done to anger God.
