20471377 No.20471377 [Reply] [Original]

I saw a post on /pol/ that told me to look into crypto and invest. They mentioned LINK too. How do I get started? I suppose I need to use an exchange. Which one is best? Coinbase?

Kek yeah use coinbase, its joo run but best one to use.

>> No.20471413

Coinbase isn’t really “the best” but it is the easiest fiat gateway. Most people will enter there but then do the majority of trading elsewhere.

Yeah but if you're looking to hold more than 10k I suggest getting a hardware wallet or look into some secure form of cold storage. For some pocket change coinbase is easy to get, but binance has better exchange rates

Also using crypto.com for link is based because you can stake it in their earn program for 4% interest or 6% if you buy 500 MCO, which will pay for itself over the long run but you'll need to crunch the numbers yourself to decide if it's worth it for you. Also you get free spotify, netflix, and unlimited airport lounge visits with the credit card you get for free for holding 500 MCO.

meh you're too late for link, it still has a x10 to x100 to it at most, if you're a poorfag and put in 10k$ then at best you'll have 1m$, try to buy low mcap projects like xsn or rlc or sxp (rlc or sxp for short term gains) then when your folio is worth say 30k$ then you can get on link for steady slow gains.

1) register a coinbase account
2) buy a hardware-wallet (I have a ledger nano s, can recommend)
3) send usd to coinbase
4) buy link with usd
5) send link to your hardware wallet
6) wait 3 years and create your own ethno state

Just make sure not to keep your money on any exchange. As long as it is on there (((they))) have the ability to steal & freeze your funds.
Also you could use other exchanges, other wallets, etc... this is just the most user-friendly one for anyone who has no interest in diving in deeper.

lol, ethereum can't handle that unfortunately. linkies and eth have a couple years left in them as the 'first crypto' categories. the thing we're waiting for isn't on the scene yet. we're still in wright brother territory, the commercial airliner is a ways away.

based, dude you're young so you have so much time to benefit from compounding interest, buy your link wherever you want but don't listen to all these paranoid fedora wearing autists about hardware wallets and shit, put your link in the crypto.com earn program and get paid in link to hold link. People fud it but its totally legit, their cards are VISA cards for crying out loud, they aren't going to pull some exit scam like everyone says in biz, just do it.

You put it in their "earn program" for one of 3 terms, flexible, 1 month, or 3 months, the longer you commit, the higher your interest rate.

Staking simply stands for holding a cryptocurrency in your wallet for a fixed period, then earning interest on it. The reward that one earns from staking varies depending on the length of the time that they hold it. The longer the stake duration, the higher the returns.

>> No.20472015

>>20471966

Based. Are there any risks to staking?

>> No.20472020

>>20471854
staking is like traditional stock market derivatives. it is estimated that you will get some where around 5%. Your 10k is a good start. will give you around 1200 total links priced in at $8. that will give you roughly 60 link per year and who knows what the price will be, but every one agrees it will be more than it is currently.

Here is a good theoretical view. Staking goes live lets say next year on jan 1st. price of link continues to climb and goes to $25. That would give you $1500/year in LINK for literally just holding the coin. meanwhile the value of your stack would be $30k.

Another view of it. same conditions as above but set price at $150. Your stack is $180k and your "income" would be $9k per year. You could keep letting it stack up or you could go ahead and cash out that extra money every year. Personally, i have not decided how im going to do it yet because part of me wants to pay off everything and live debt free including the house which for me is possible when link hits $100 but yet if i hold on a longer i could sell for maybe even $1000 each, or just live off of the income from it.

It is a good decision to have to make, no wrong answer.

Just buy LINK and don’t worry about other coins like BTC, ETH, XRP, etc. literally just buy LINK. I'm a deluded linkie till the end so you'll hardly get an unbiased answer to that from me, but imo that's like asking if buying 1200 netflix/amazon/apple stock at $8 is decent. It's great, it might take a year or two for you to get really good gains but imo this is about as close to a sure thing moon as you're going to get.

Don't listen to these anons about staking. Buy chainlink, put it somewhere safe, and forget about it. Wait five years, retire. It's that simple. Don't screw around with any other weird scheme stuff. Once chainlink staking on the chainlink network is live, consider it then. Just buy and hold somewhere safe. 1200 is $1.2M by the end of the 20s.

Yes it's well established, why is for money, how is I have no idea. It would be illegal. I'm just saying, that's the standard fud regarding crypto.com on biz that they will exit scam with your money.
dyor on them and decide for yourself, but I've looked all over the web and found nothing to make me think they are scammy and they have something like 3 million customers now. You can also hang out in their telegram, or their subreddit and talk to people to get a feel for it.
