Is it risky to keep all my ERC-20 tokens on Coinbase Wallet? Should I transfer them somewhere else? Is it worth it to get a hardware wallet? As I buy more and more bags I am starting to worry about security and something tells me I shouldn't be relying on Coinbase Wallet anymore.

>> No.20422947

Hardware wallets are a waste of money. Everyone keeps money in online bank accounts, online brokerages, etc. I've kept my crypto online for years. Don't be a fag.

First I'm hearning of this.
Does Coinbase wallet support every type of ERC-20 token? Can you instantly send to and from Coinbase Pro?
I know fags like to drone on about hardware wallets but I really couldn't give a shit. Would be nice to have all my tokens in one place.

Yes, you can store all your shitcoins there. I do. I have 12 UTOPIA in this fookin wallet.
>Can you instantly send to and from Coinbase Pro?
I'll take "instantly" as a relative term and say yes.

whats the diffrence between this and the coinbase app other than you have to send to coinbase when you want to trade or cashout? isn't the coinbase app literally a built in wallet?

I have no problem keeping it all online, I just wanted to know if anyone knew of any security issues with coinbase wallet, and if so, what are the safer alternatives.

if its the actual coinbase wallet app and not the coinbase app, you should have a passphrase... just write it down, store it somewhere safe. You can use that passphrase to access your holdings from any platform (ie. Metamask or similar)

its a paper wallet, safest thing you can have. Dont fall for the hardware wallet meme. They are overpriced flash drives. flash memory is unreliable and easily corrupted

I have some stored on Mew Wallet. I think it's much safer, I also turn off the internet when I generate/restore wallet.

You have your own ether wallet address which you can view on etherscan, as opposed to just being able to view your accounts transactions that are being done by coinbase's wallet. The name "coinbase wallet" makes it hard to describe without being confusing.

Coinbase wallet:metamask
Coinbase:bittrex

Yes. Get a hardware wallet. It's like $60 to protect however many thousands, potential hundereds of thousands.

Recommend Atomic wallet. Coinomi has more variety of tokens but less reliabilty when exchanging.

Hardware wallets also have words you can write down and paper wallet. Except they're more secure than a fucking app on your phone.
Also they interact from the wallet. Your keys don't leave. No malware can grab them up

It’s a solid wallet but you comply with coinbases tos making your butthole gaping wide for government probing. Just FYI if you give a shit. I report my taxes like a cuck so idgaf I trade shitcoins with it now and then.
