No you asked if a positive rebase just increased the market cap. It also increases the supply (elastic money supply).
let's say for example price of AMPL = $1 and you hold 1000 AMPL in a wallet.
Total value = $1000
20% positive rebase today, price of AMPL does not increase/decrease, it stays the same
Your wallet has 1200 AMPL (supply increases) worth $1200 and market cap increases too
