20344658 No.20344658 [Reply] [Original]

Just graduated from med school. Ironically, by the time I finish my residency (4 years) and can begin making $400,000 annually, I will most likely already be a multi-millionaire and will never have to work again. What is this cosmic joke?

Literally the best possible thing, you have your diploma just as a status holder while you literally never have to work a single day in your life.

Thanks, mate. I may end up using some of my gains to open up my own clinic and just hire other docs to work in it. Or maybe I will try to get into medical consulting. I feel like I should try to leverage my newfound wealth and my degree in a synergistic way. Feeling pretty comfy. Residency is gonna suck though lol...Imagine being a wage slave getting chewed out by attendings even though you are worth more than them and could retire on the spot. I will finish though, to make my mummy proud.

Medical technology research my man. That's what I'm going into when I make it, though I am just a humble electrical engineer.
The world (and I) need medical science to stop being so comfortable with stagnation, and make some faster progress towards solving pressing health issues permanently, with new technology. heart disease plauques for instance. Why can't we have some kind of nanobot that fixes this? It seems possible within the laws of physics.
We are very likely going to get hit with these diseases in our lifetimes also, so it's an investment in good health and long life for yourself too.
Make medicine great again!

pretty much the same. I've one year left but I've 20k LINK and 1 LP & aroudn 12k BNT. Wondering what to do to. I'm def gonna stick with it, but fuck these 100 hour work weeks for the rest of my life. Work hard for 4-5 years, then set up my clinic or research.

ideally, I'd love to get invovled in a regional (eventually nationwide) blockchain-based EPR system; stuff where you can pts voluntarily elect to their dat abeing used for research purposes (and they'll be paid for it). Fuck me, that'd be the dream. Connecting all those shitty, udner resourced and understaffed rural hospitals. Imagine the the % impact on issues/ accidents/ death/ efficiency with a 24/7 commutable intranet between hospitals.

70yr old woman falls and fucks her hip up on Friday eve, don't have to wait until Monday morning till the roastie admin comes in from the other hospital and takes a full day to fax over med/ surg hx scans/ documents. Just instant. No idea tho; I'm, not very technical.

How do I handle seborrheic dermatitis naturally? Vitamin D isn't working.

>> No.20347184

I have it. Its so fucking annoying.

Nizoral pretty much for life; 2 -3 times a week, adn then maintenace of 1-2 times a week. You need to wash your face every day, do not use any burny/ peely stuff. After your shower (always finish with cold water) you can use your fingers, or even cotton pads with very very light toner to remove the skin cells in between your eybrows/ nose/ beard area. Stay clean shaven too.

When you remove the skin (literally by pushing it) it'll look like bits of rolled up tissue almost.

Need to jsut stay moisturized af as well. I use hyaluronic acid first, then some borage oil. After I let that settle, then either some very light non scented daily moisturizer (The ordinary brand) and or some aqueos cream to use as an emolient.

Drink water, avoid processed shit, stop smoking/ and especially vaping as it literally pulls the water form your skin.

There's other tar/ coal based stuff you can use too if its bad, but the nixoral is fine. You can get a small tube of 1% hydrocortisone to use (infrequentely) to get the redness down if you haven't been maintaing it well. Daktacort is a combo of hydrocortisone & miconazole which can also be used for moderate- bad flare ups. Do not use these daily or commonly.

T. med school anon with perfect skin despite fucking vicious seb derm. if I fall out of routine for even just one day, it starts to come back again.

my dermatologist gave me a lotion cintaining cortisone. pretty standard procedure, just go see a dermatologist.

>> No.20348618

>>20348028

Its quite varied in terms of severity amongst people. Hydrocortisone thins the fuck out of your skin overtime unfortunately, so use it sparingly. Your derm prob prescrbed a mico + hydrocortisone combo, pretty common. Great for reducing flareups, can't use for maintenance.

Come to Ireland. Pay will be better. You may get whipped around the country in the more rural places, but you can locum and make absolute bank. Rent is insane in th epopulated areas, but normal in the countryside. Do it for a year or two and wait for LINK to take off.
