It's pretty simple.
This altseason was kicked off by DOGE which sparked a surge of interest/investment into altcoins. LINK is in the perepheral here, almost everything went up. If you look at coinmarketcap.com, LINK actually was #15 or something relative to the other coins by % increase. All the link holders thinking that the time had finally come, that Google or whoever the fuck just bought their bags, it was all due to the collateral effect of altcoins going up. It only broke $5 because it was right below that price when all the other coins spiked.

I am not a fucking expert, but one thing I've learned is that massive spikes don't hold when there are no fundamentals. They may slightly increase the price, but they don't sustain themselves for long. Logically, at the end of the day it's just a bunch of people investing in these coins. So if there's no fundamentals or paradigm shift of some sort, then there is no reason for the coin to continue going up, so people take their profits and fuck off.

And yes, they're the most insufferable cunts, maybe second to XRP schizo's, but you can see link holders are slowly becoming just as delusional.

2017-2018 Linkies were based. They memes/smugness/shittalking was all well and good because linkies were basically confined to /biz/ and hadn't been validated by the market. They really were in on the next big thing, and then hit it big. People who hopped on board after were all fucking dumb cunts who took the culture and ran with it, despite the secret club atmosphere no longer being relevant. It's just another cringe community like XRP these days, and linkies are completely ignorant to the fact that several shitcoins have outperformed them over the past year.
