I've read a couple of times that oil stocks were good long-term holds. Why would that be since electric vehicules are getting better and better every year? now for you, being lonely but eager to improve yourself, you hopped on the internet and found cooking to be one of the top suggestions... and it's absolutely true but you aren't just gonna run to the fucking grocery store and buy some overpriced food and turn yourself around... in fact, as you've already found out, it will just be a money-sink at first if you have no idea what you're doing

so here's my one piece of advice:
find something cheap to make, it will probably involve flour, and you can consider yourself lucky if it includes meat. Figure out a recipe to make something cheaply that you can make in a big batch and eat for a couple weeks. Maybe it's biscuits and gravy, or maybe something else... look into your local culture, like there's entire cultures around making delicious bbq out of extremely cheap meat etc. So yeah. Find a recipe to eat cheaply and master that

You can absolutely save a lot of money and have a great time cooking for yourself but in your original comment that you went out and bought olive oil and cheese and spent a ton of money.. yeah.. you need to be more granny-like, granny likes buying shit for dirt-cheap at the farmer's market but granny also knows how to make biscuits and gravy from scratch for $2 for the next 2 weeks.. you'll figure it out but it takes years so start making some french toast and stick to it
