"SENT would like to thank OKEx for the invitation to host a validator on the OKChain testnet. "

>okex wallet is holding and has moved some SENT

OkChain is being built on Tendermint and will host OKEx's exchange token, OKB as well as a cross-chain DEX environment.

SENT would also like to commend the
OKEx team's performance and participation in the cosmos CosmosDevs GOZ competition.

To find out more about the upcoming OkChain mainnet and it's interoperable design, read:

Okex is making OKChain to run their exchange on, and SENT is managing OKChain, one could assume SENT is coming to OKChain/Okex

okchain will be built on tendermint and it will be mainly a dex chain, they will mainly trade tendemrint based tokens on top of it, they will probably list all tendermint based stuff otherwise there would be no point in building it

okex invited sentinel to validate their chain cause they won multiple phases of cosmos game of zones competing with way better funded validators like polychain

How are you going to live when Sent pumps to 100million mcap and has 1million+ users?

I'll be staking and running a few nodes for day to day expenses but really want to buy an old barn and convert it.

they also contributed directly by expanding or auditing cosmos codebase

Sentinel's Contribution to the Cosmos SDK

1. Fixed an issue the In IBC prototype where there were problems with incorrect sequences in the process of relaying transactions between chains. https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/2896

2. Fixed an issue relating to queries where the data doesn't have proofs https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/3236

3. Fixed an issue which led to a block delay in querying the account, implemented a new query method to resolve the delay. . https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/3767

4. Reported the wrong implementation of Private key and Public key interfaces and proposed the best method to implement. For the full description check https://github.com/tendermint/tendermint/issues/373

5. Requested and suggested a way to develop a solution to get the information (including time remaining) related to blocks that had yet to be synced. For the full description https://github.com/tendermint/tendermint/issues/3365

Tendermint based modules developed for Sentinel's Tendermint dVPN app

6. For Sentinel, creation and implementation of a deposit module, custom built to maintain status pertaining to locking of tokens. https://github.com/sentinel-official/hub/tree/development/x/deposit

7. For Sentinel implemented a mechanism for locking and releasing tokens based on the application requirements, wherein this case the user had to lock tokens in order to initiate a DVPN subscription https://github.com/sentinel-official/hub/blob/development/x/vpn/handler.go#L158

>> No.20092095

Been wondering, why not just use openVPN instead of this or any paid VPN?

well the simplest answer is sentinel allows any entity with unused bandwidth to monetize it without having to set up their own company and with less bureaucratic and legal headache.
users will also be able to sell their own bandwidth.
so sentinel allows consumers and providers to connect directly it will also have a multi hop relay net that will allow to route traffic through multiple nodes (similarly to how tor works) the difference is that tor doesn't reward people that host tor nodes

when is sent main net launching ?

>> No.20092806

true but for scalability sake most tokens will have a supply mirror on cosmos and trade those

main net should launch q3 but before that there is an incentivized testnet and many releases:
>v3 desktop client
>wireguard integration
>private nets
>tendermint 3 testnet
>sentinel tendermint dpos chain (aka main-net)

Sent is a shit exit scam.

>>20092095
Nobody is going to run an exit node and be responsible for your child porn. That’s why you are making up all this other fake validation. There is no reason for this project to exist. It’s just another shit money grab scam.

>> No.20094182

>>20094052
Commits keep coming though, which begs the opposite to the sentiment of an exit scam.

sentinel has a real product with a strong userbase of around 60k people every week, people are already running nodes, currently we are at 103 node.
there will be 3 types of nodes:
-exit nodes hosted by experienced users and data centers
-relay nodes hosted by consumers (will never come in contact with unencrypted data)
-tor nodes tought for people that run tor nodes already so they can get payed for their service

"nobody will run a btc node cause its illegal and government will track you down"
if you are not willing to take risk early on you can just buy at a much higher mcap later

here you can monitor daily development

Thanks. What is stopping the NSA to just buy a ton of nodes and host them on Sentinel. They will be able to log IPs no?

>>20094052
Oh wow. Though if hosted a node and this weird anon decided he wanted to watch CP. Would I be liable as node host? As you put it I'm not a company and may be liable?

>What is stopping the NSA to just buy a ton of nodes and host them on Sentinel. They will be able to log IPs no?

the situation is similar to tor , with the difference that now node hosters will be payed and will not do it just out of good will, there is lots of unused bandwidth laying around , idle data centers could just put their spare capacity on sent

>Though if hosted a node and this weird anon decided he wanted to watch CP. Would I be liable as node host? As you put it I'm not a company and may be liable?

you would host the second type of nodes which only relay traffic and never come in contact with un encrypted data , so you would be totally safe

>> No.20095573

>>20095207
Data center's spinning up nodes with their spare capacity seems a no brainer for them.

All the major VPN services must have answered the CP question as well, I wonder how they have dealt with it.

you just have to comply with regulation.
but most centralized VPN companies are bought by mossad or usa gov after they start to get big anyway

>>20096041
eth doesn't allow customization and chain governance and you are forced to use ETH to pay for gas, so end users are burdened by un necessary complication , it also doesn't scale and its getting more and more centralized

ETH is unusable atm. Nobody wants to hold two tokens to use a DAPP (ETH and native token). I really can't see ETH being successfull as long as that shit is required.

>> No.20097105

>>20097043

You can host a node yourself. Will Mossad and usa GOV come and buy you out?

>> No.20097558

>>20097043
the fact that its not siloed and anybody can compete and offer bandwidth so any agency would have to compete against everybody else, it levels the play field, gov can't just come and buy the whole company with backdoor deals, also there will probably be some way to randomize nodes

Full incentivization will be enabled only on main net you will be able to accept any token thanks to cosmos cross chain protocol
