I just bought some TLRD cheapies, $1 calls for aug. 21. Michael Burrey had his name attached to this a month or so ago. They skipped an interest payment, might file for bankruptcy, but that seems to ensure another pump or 2 before the flatline.

Low risk, high reward. This one is purely gambling. Probably throwing away a very small percentage of my WKHS gains, oh well.

While this long weekend goes on, I recommend you fellows look into DNB. I posted about it yesterday when it just got relisted, up 15% yesterday, another 8% today on relatively low volume cause nobody knows yet. Big company that used to run at 140/share, was taken private in 2018 and going back to public now. Its competitors are all around 150-170, and it’s likely to climb slow and teady in my opinion. Established company with lots of clients, little downside that I can see but research it yourselves. Almost no traction at the moment with the public, so you can get in early, and a lot of big institutional interest.

Holding till winner is announced. If it’s announced and they get the whole contract or a piece of it, I will hold 2 years minimum. If not, I may take sell all.

yes and... I guess yeah it's under $5
finally I have an excuse to post in ptg

But did you read what else I said about it?

Also, I dunno if that matters since its an ADR, and it's got an ADR ratio of 1:5 (5 UMC = 1 of 2303.TW I think). And it's a 5 billion USD company.

>i mean just based on the node sizes alone
I'm not... uhh... I don't know much about that
but no, money isn't going to make them top of the line, but I really think the CCP is going to to make some moves out of necessity and desperation. Who knows where they could turn to buy or steal the information they need to modernize their semis.

I keep being surprised by the variation in semiconductors all over. Didn't realize NXPI was Norway, who knows who would help the CCP.

But necessity is the mother of invention and all that.

Would like to hear more of your DD when you have it.

what have you FOMO'd in before? I know some people who manage to FOMO so consistently that I should really start using them as an indicator to sell. By the time one of my friends decided to finally buy into the market (after watching it slowly rise up slowly every day for a month), the market immediately crashes the next day. They did the same shit with other shit like weed stocks too.

Yeah. But a Taiwan based company will not be supported by the PRC, imo
Also Taiwan wouldnt allow a take over with all the tech and so on.

Still just 10 USD but better than 2, yeah

>never worth it
I have an ok business sense, and putting all my awareness of the equities and credit markets into the bin, something just smells foul. we have the employment numbers and news of bankruptcies, but everyone seems to be going about things like we just weathered the storm and everything is going to be like before. There's so much activity and a sense of stability in rentals/housing, consumer discretionary, staples, and durables... It's just impossible, really. Something is off and I just feel it in my gut and bones that I need to be as heavy in cash as possible for the next two years. The only exception is to hedge inflation risk.
>stop dooming
It's not dooming, it's realizing that there was a shock and there's pressure built up somewhere that needs to get applied somehwere
>but it's best modeled as a natural disaster senpai
I know, but these disasters take time to fix. those jobs people left aren't likely to come back so quickly, the corps have been announcing that they're laying people off. The small businesses which employ almost half of people are still broadly getting squeezed to death like they were in 2019. we have some looming or existing supply chain issues, which i find very unsettling. a few rentals I'm prospecting for a lease are struggling to get appliances installed. The mood is just beyond acceptable positivity... I don't like it. limiting exposures right now is the right way to go, because something is going to blow between now and the next year or so.

I agree with everything you said and counter with "Neither the gouvernment nor the banks nor the companies are interested in the market falling apart again."
The higher ups are in full control and we all know it now. The economy is fucked but who cares as long as PPT buys futures and the worlds central banks give free money to everyone.

Also when I talked about bears, I meant people actually getting puts and shorts open.
They lose 90% of the time. Break even maybe 5%.
I should have been more precise desu.

Well then I guess I'll just have to stick with SMICY for now. I wish I'd bought more, but now that it's shot up 17% (like $20 lmao) it feels insane to throw more money in. I don't know...

Look up Bollinger bands (which depend on your time scale) and RSI for a decent entry point. Stocks bounce around within bollinger bands and the middle band is a moving average.

But they will devalue your cash drastically to save the market. So its a lose/lose for you.

>stonks go up
>your money loses a bit of value, and opportunity cost of not investing

>stonks go down
>your money loses value because currency will be devalued to force people to spend

right and that would be the doombull and some of the hyperinflation camp's argument. I don't see it playing out like that long term for some reason. I don't know, something won't work right.

>opp cost
>devalued due to equities movements
vaguely covered fampai.

I'll see if i can find a long dated SPY put that breaks even around $270 and buy it with my savings or next winnings. I'll put my money where my mouth is.

TA is one of those things that just barely works on average. If you're an algo with perfect pattern recognition making hundreds of thousands of trades a day, you'll make a slender profit.
If you're a regular /biz/ user with $300 in his RH account, attempting to swingtrade pennystocks, the odds are not as favorable.

>> No.20080251

It works the one time they post a youtube video about it working, but it doesn't work the other 12 times they used it. It's all about risk management and nothing else.
