>What do we do now?
Everything is up in the air at the moment. We're definitely waiting for our pool contributors to be refunded. We also need to wait and see how Statera will be pooled going forward, whether through Balancer or otherwise. Keep in mind the devs are in this with us. We've dealt with FUD from day 1. We've passed an audit. We've survived a schism and continue to rebuke they who shall not be spoken of. We will work through this.

I think that the recent news and shit about Balancer will bring another competitor into the works. If they find a way to work with deflationary tokens then I think everyone will be millionaires. It's literally a money printer.

Truly based idea. Shame about the execution. We're still really early though. I'm losing a little faith in STA based on the work around. The team doesn't come off as professional to me. I think for deflationary index funds to take off, a new balancer type dapp has to find its way to the market, and then a new STA. Won't sell though as I got in for fractions of a penny and top 100. Imagine a pool of millions, burning 1% every swap. Which happens all the goddamn time with Thanos. Fucking hell. Couple that with the fact you only lose 20% portfolio if the token crashes (which it wouldn't, after 60% had been burned) and the golden bullrun would inflate all tokens in the pool even more.

>> No.20047592

why people are still in this shitcoin after everything that has happened.

1) First deflationary Crypto index fund. STA's price is tied in with the price of bitcoin, ethereum, chainlink and snx via the balancer with 20% weightage to each so whenever any token experiences a, let's say, a price pump, a certain amount of that token is sold to buy other tokens to finally keep the USD value of all 5 pooled tokens to be the same.

2) STA is deflationary like BOMB was (which did a 100x) so token burn keeps on reducing supply leading to an upwards price pressure. Since early june, out of 101 million STA tokens, 11 million have been burned leaving roughly 90 million tokens now.

3) Lastly, the DeFi use case and accompanying hype is very real and STA has great potential to come out as of the leading projects of the next crypto bull run which many predict will get triggered by the DeFi space.

Do your own research and read a lot more of course. Also, tons of archived STA threads so can check them out as well.

I had over 10k in it, and my STA share (true, it was what, 4.5c at the time of the hack?) was about 50k STA. And I had 10k In pool rankings I was in the top 10. People who pooled between 100 and 1000$ will have a small amount of STA to play with, and even if they all dump it at once how much do you think it will dump?

2.3M sale sent it from 4c to 1c, and that's the whole amount in the pool. If anything, being optimistic, half of that is gonna be sold at 1.5c if we get refunds before the team finds a solution. But I can tell you a solution is coming quicker than refunds, so..

Because this whole balancer pool issue scrapped off all plans. I want to remind you they took a step forward with the liquidity mining pool and in one day it had more in it than STONKs after a whole week (3k > 35k). You do realize that releasing a roadmap now is useless?

this attack not only did 500k worth of damage but also hit the core of the project, so they're finding a workaround.

You need to let go of STONK. Its irrelevant. IF your marketing pitch is saying you're better than a meme coin than its shit. Roadmap is NOT useless. Its even MORE IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW. There is ZERO direction. You need a roadmap. Look I can make one right now.

1. We are going to do reimbursement by next week.
2. We are going to create temporary LP by next week.
3. By end of month we will have solution for permanent LP.
4. By mid month we will schedule two additional AMAs.
5. By end of month we will advertise with well known YTber.

Shut up you disgusting sack of dog poop. Fact is if you were in the STA threads during that insane and obviously unsustainable pump to 15 cents, where you dumped your stack as per your own previous statement, then you essentially set the new investors up for getting dumped on, the same fucking thing that you're accusing other of doing right now.

Being the stupid faggot you are, you look at everything as a short term PnD when the fact is that transfer of wealth always takes place from the patient to the impatient, in the long run.

>> No.20049926

1. Refunds are up to balancer, team is only supplying STA to them - read latest medium article by balancer, said a plan is coming end of the week
2. Read latest Statera twitter post, that's one way of going forward but with all that happened would you make another pool without checking it is as safe as it can be?
3. Can't state something for sure when you don't know if your solution is gonna be working
4&5. In this situation I would put marketing plans on hold as well. The fuck am I paying people for if what they're gonna advertise is still in the works?

Your points are valid, but you also gotta understand it was working fine until it wasn't. It's not like "hey lets make a new coin" fixes shit. They want to pull through with it as it is, with the same core concept, but it isn't going to happen in 1 day. It's been not even 48h since the attack and they posted a solution yesterday. I'm sure they're running all the tests needed.

I shouldnt but here is your fucking roadmap.

1. We are in contact with BAL team about the roadmap. Currently the plan is to send them STA to handle the reimbursement. IF it is not done by July 10th We will reimburse the STA ourselves.

2. Going forward we need a LP. We can establish a short term one but inreality it is not ideal. We are going to begin looking for another location, BAL team is not the only game in town. IN conjunction with that search we will hire devs to begin feasability research on creating our own from stratch. Both the search and feasability report will be due/conclude at the end of July.
3. End of July we will present the LP options to the STA community and we can jointly dicuss the best method to move forward.
4. During 1. 2. 3. we will push to schedule AMAs to discuss STA, what happened, and our path forward.

Fucking Done. This shit is important. You are foolish if you think we dont need a roadmap. If you do NOT have direction and goals you will wander aimlessly which is what the STA team is doing.. Its amateur hour over there.

What is LIEKLY to happen is two fold.
1, The STA team will flounder into obliviion with bagholders teling each other mooon mission next month.

2. While 1 is happening a real competent team took notice of STA and is developing their own Deflationary Crypto Index Fund, which upon its release will be the death nail in STA.

The handful of teams making a better version of STA will still need to figure out a way to make deflation happen on Balancer. And from the looks of their discord, their solution is to just blacklist FoT tokens and added a big red warning if you make a pool with one. They don't care to fix it. So whoever is trying to one-up Statera needs to solve this problem first. Then release a product and all that comes with it.

This is your problem. You are so short sighted. You think they will use BAL? I bet there is a team making a new Balancer pool for the top 10 cyrptos plus their own. And other cryptos will come in and out if they are in or out of the top 10. The Sta idea was genius, no doubt about that. BUT their execution was lacking. Big players undoubtedly took note and will make it better. This didnt happen in a vacuum. Is there ONE blockchain? is there ONE DeFi project? Is there ONE exchange? is there ONE DEX?

Of course not. The moment a team releases essentially a better STA, STA will die. The current STA team can not compete.

What I'm saying is a solution is very likely to come before the refunds from Balancer even drop, and that's not enough time to get an hypotetical new platform and project up and running to steal the spotlight. Of course I could also be very wrong and tomorrow everything comes crashing down (again), but.. Just saying right now it's not easy. does normal uniswap pooling work like Balancer? As in you get a token representing your pool amount (BPT=UN1) and you earn based on the amount of tha ttoken you hold?

>> No.20054251

>>20054119
Yeah with uniswap v2 you can create pairs for any erc20. When you add liquidity for that pair, you get a pool token that accumulates fees from trades. The pool token value can suffer or gain based on the value of the underlying assets. Uniswap has no governance mechanism, so you wouldn't receive any bonus tokens like BAL.

but we could receive BAL tokens from the UN1 token being pooled on Balancer? And the deflationary aspect is taken out of Balancer's hands buy burning STA through the arbitrage in the Uni pool? In other words this solves the problem and is barely harder than the previous method which pooled over 500k in 4 weeks? Do I have this right?

Is this the same thing as the following solution, quoted in the STA telegram:

>Uniswap Pool 1: STA/ETH (this mints UPT1, uniswap pool token 1)
>Uniswap Pool 2: UPT1/ETH

This can be setup and provided to by anyone right now. Also this can exist as an alternate ecosystem involving STA while a potential Balancer fork/clone/fix is in the works (if possible) and it can remain after as well.

We could have not only recuperated a lot faster, but there would be IRON HANDS in charge of all the supply. Newfags would have to pay 20 cents per token. But that would have given whales immense power. Right now, maybe the distribution is much more spread out which is good. Also, if people saw pump coming (like COMP's recent run), we'd all be rich and off this board years ago, lol. Chill man, STA belongs beyond the $1 mark. It'll get there.

NO. The hack exploited a vulnerability in the balancer which only gets activated when there's a deflationary token inside it (like STA). However, right now, the team has decided to circumvent that by having a non-deflationary token replace STA in the balancer pool. This token namely UPT (uniswap pool token) which still be tied in to STA's price action through a UPT pool on uniswap. Simply, the deflation/burning of tokens of STA will now take place on uniswap (which is compatible with burn tokens, unlike the balancer) and then the pool in balancer will operate without any vulnerabilities. When the refunds drop near the weekend, we're back.
