Should I study economics?

Is the knowledge required to make good investment decisions something I'd learn along the way even without the uni?

Should I study economics even if the statement above is correct? Can I get a good job after getting a degree in this field?

Or should I study something else, if so, what?

don't do it. finishing my masters in finance, everything you could learn for personal investment decisions and financial independence can come from the interest or a book on your own time. study something really invigorating like the humanities or architecture or physics/engineering. Only redeeming thing for me is ill probably make too much money at a bank and then i can fuck off and buy a ranch and read books

Some of the most financially retarded individuals I know have economics degrees. Most of what they teach is Paul Krugman tier garbage. Especially now, you are more likely to learn why white people are evil than literally anything about making money or accurately interpreting markets. If you want to learn something practical about human behavior in markets, study something like evolutionary biology.
