I've held 20k VIDT for about a year now (not larping, can show txs), and im not trying to concern FUD right now but....

I was thinking about this the other day. Ever since the scrapped the VIDS idea, the /ONLY/ utility of the VIDT token is for clients to use to verify shit.. right?
So the /ONLY/ thing that us, as investors, can hope for is that VIDT the company buys back their own tokens from us off of exchanges

There is quite literally 0 incentive for anyone to hold the token except for the fact that VIDT buys tokens off exchanges for clients
Just seems weird that the end-goal for us is to eventually sell our VIDT tokens to the VIDT company for them to give to clients, for the clients to then give back to the VIDT company

What am i missing here? Nothing? We're all just waiting for VIDT to scale up enough so that they themselves buy our tokens from us for a higher price? And we're all hoping that everyone else holding VIDT doesn't sell low enough to allow the VIDT company to buy at a cheap price?
We're basically all just drying up the supply so that VIDT has to pay more to buy it back from us?

Yes, and I wouldn't be surprised if a year from now they do a "tokenomics update" and reduce the amount of tokens they buy back. They already reduced the "never circulating" supply by 50% earlier this year

It's honestly the most worthless project shilled here. It sounds cool if you know nothing about crypto but if you spend 5 minutes thinking about it they clearly just wanted to earn some easy money riding the hot potato ponzi that was the ico phase knowing full well their project has zero need for its own token

Wtf are you talking about. This is crypto. The token has a better usecase than 99% of projects and better tokenomics than 99% of projects. Those things will make the price boom, along with the hype of all the clients and projects. The fact they are no longer offering a security token is nothing to do with it.

I get that. I get that some of the shit in crypto literally has 0 use case or tokenomics supporting its valuation.

But was anything I said incorrect? Isn't the ultimate goal of holding VIDT to eventually sell back to VIDT as part of their buybacks?
And thus, as the price increases, and the amount of VIDT they buyback decreases, so too does the rate at which the price increases?

Because the only people who consistently buy the token is the VIDT company themselves?

Each time a validation is done, the VIDT transaction records all details to track back the filetype, validation location, timestamp and identity of the validator.

Using VIDT simplifies the payment of transaction fees on multiple blockchains.

And VIDT provides transparency because we can track all transactions on the Dashboard.

Token is absolutely needed.

I don't think it's fair to say they are the ONLY people who consistently buy. I would say that with continued progress, speculative investors will consistently buy - as is the case for all strong crypto projects - but that here we have the bonus of the team buying too. It's a winning combination.

Yes but it could work with a stablecoin on the ETH blockchain, so the only that gives VIDT value is the team buying it on exchanges.

So whats the incentive by holding LINK, QUANT or ETH unless you are a developer? The value comes from buybacks driven by adoption which turns on a higher price of your tokens.

LINK and ETH having staking, so the incentive is to obtain a sort of dividend payment through utilization of the network

QNT i agree with, its a similar situation as VIDT. That being said, i do own all 4 of the coins mentioned in this post.

It better be a scam or otherwise its price would rise extremely slowly to the point that inflation will eat your gains away.
