As you know, every sale is a taxable event and you pay 50% on your gains unless you hodled a full year or your gains do not exceed 600 bucks per year. It's fucked up
So a friend of mine did not pay a penny on his gains and just thought nobody could notice. Turns out, many of the bigger exchanges work together with tax offices or fucking banks or who knows, but he was questioned on his money withdrawals and to show exactly where the money came from with blockchain prove. He is rekt. I guess the risk is small, but not paying taxes can seriously fuck up your life, punishment is often harder than violent crimes.

if you withdraw money to a normie bank inside germoney then yes they are law mandated to report your transaction
if you are on a foreign exchange then chances are very low they'll report you but what to do with your gains
either hodl for a year or move to one of several eu regions where you can move freely to and establish tax residency in a zero cap gains jurisdiction

also why the fuck does the german tax authority demand blockchain prove when all selling occurs on an exchange, mostly your transaction records are sufficient, unless your 'friend' did some shady shit and sold drugs for crypto he shouldn't need to do that
