Second wave my ass. You are buying hook line and sinker the same bullshit narrative they used last time. Unemployment is inflated with the $600 bonus, and will be fixed with a back to work bonus. The unemployment % has already started to decrease, that's why we had a thousand point day a few weeks back. Political instability? On CNBC front page right now they are saying Biden being up in the polls is what is causing this dip. Or because we are testing half a million people a day. They don't mention deaths anymore do they? That's why they won't. The meme market will hear something a little good about a meme-vax, bank stress tests will look nice, we'll get a leg up on china, unemployment will be ok, and the markets will go up. See the logic is so much simpler than yall make it. This stock was worth $70 yesterday, good news means it should be worth the same today ($70) plus a little for the positive effect of good news on business. It's that easy.

Core of it is
>play the doombull and high volatility.
>take that money and go into miners and healthcare
>take those winnings and slap them into PM miners and ride it out.
It's expecting some retarded tier inflation showing up one way or another or a flight to a superior currency because something somewhere will take us off of the dollar standard. Just like how in 2018, the writing was on the walls about market being ready to get battered, it seems like the writing is on the wall for gold to outperform or risk related to dollar hegemony. It's early for this play, and I think things still need to develop to really go big on it, but based on some of the risks and trends... I'm very happy to start allocating into gold miners now and re-evaluate for entries every time i take profits from this volatility insanity. Additionally:
>commodities were at historic lows
>raws are good re-expansion cyclicals
>i like shiny

I'm going to let /biz/ in on a little secret. If you want to know the future of Covid in the US or many other countries, all you have to do is look at Sweden. They are about two to three months ahead of us in terms of coexisting with the virus in a relative state of normalcy (schools open, people go to work, eat out etc). They were even discouraged from wearing masks by health officials. Pic related is their daily death chart. The virus has all but sputtered out. People continue to get the sniffles, and that's about it. They recover. Almost no one is dying from it anymore. The reason being that there isn't an infinite supply of frail people who should have died years ago to catch it. Those people, if they were going to die, have passed. And after that, there's really not much more to this virus.

Now you can kick and scream all you want, but these are the simple facts. Sweden didn't close anything and didn't wear masks and the outcome was a bad flu season. I'm not saying don't short the SPY, if you want to, go ahead, our media will continue to milk this as long as they can and Fauci et al. will oblige. What I am saying is that you need to be prepared for Covid to begin to fizzle out sooner rather than later. Don't be caught with your pants down when the narrative catches up to reality and rapidly shifts to the next squirrel.

That is all.

I don't see a superior currency, and I don't think the powers that be want to actually put some sort of global crypto into practice, nor are "the people" willing to force some sort of shit in that direction. Retard tier inflation is possible, but I don't see why we can't just get a spike of inflation, and have it mostly in the areas that have been inflating for the past 10 years or so.

If Sweden was a state in the U.S. rather than the EU, Sweden wouldn’t even be in the Top Ten of death rates.

The difference in death rates between Sweden and Denmark is not remarkable in any way. The exact same thing can be observed in Spain vs. Portugal, or Belgium vs. Germany, or Italy vs. Austria.

The only reason why the U.S. as a whole has a lower death rate than Sweden is because the U.S. average figure is diluted by lots of states with a lower natural rate of spread of respiratory viruses. Because those states are sparsely populated and/or have beneficial weather conditions. They make U.S. statistics look good, for now.

U.S. states having comparable weather and population density to southern Sweden (like Massachusetts or Connecticut) are no better off than Sweden. In fact, many of them are worse off, despite lockdowns and more time to prepare.

Also, keep in mind that Sweden's deaths are mostly behind it. There is no reopening because they never closed. They are down to low single digits daily deaths. Once they hit zero daily deaths - which will be soon - it will make headlines, and the market will take notice.

The USA is 32x the population of Sweden. The USA death count would be Sweden's death count (5209) x 32 = 166,688. USA actual death count is 124,00. This is a factor of only 1.34 or 34% higher. Meanwhile, Sweden's deaths have virtually ceased while the USA continues playing catch up. In fact, it appears that the death count is practically a foregone conclusion and lockdowns have done little but delay the final number slightly (and wreck the economy).

no. I'm the guy who dumped his crappy 2D folder to appease his waifu. I think i'm the most consistent pochi-goya poster. the anon calling out to watch
>DXY
>GOLD
>Dividend Aristocrats
>Tech and corona plays part 1.2
>10 year yield
also consistently rag on Kpop and like baggie as a contrarian indicator. His gold options might pay off though. Maybe you'll remember me better for making "bluepilled" statements about our elected officials (really not something i'm focusing on in these threads).
The doombull guy is expecting heavy YCC to manifest as heavy inflation. I think he's also a dollar milkshake subscriber. I also don't think he posts anime.

>I don't see a superior currency
i am not sure it exists. if I was not a burger, i would be going hard on USD and PM. That said, looking at the gold charts, it seems like USD and Gold followed by EUR and GBP are the favored currencies at the moment. Money 101: durable, portable, divisible, uniform, limited/mintable/regulated, and acceptable/accepted. I think that a new reserve and the destruction of the dollar are not necessarily mutually exclusive. The chaos of a new superior currency would be unimaginable, however.
>global crypto
I have doubts, but XRP for international settlements seems like a coin toss. fuck SWIFT. (no i'm not advocating for XRP)
>I don't see why we can't just get a spike of inflation, and have it mostly in the areas that have been inflating for the past 10 years or so.
I'm more a believer that we're just going to see a contraction with deflation in the near term. stagflation from YCC... I'm not there yet. I don't see it happening. I still see gold and commodities as a top tier play, even if we end up with a deflationary environment.

Yes there is a downward trend, but it isn't close to single digits. Their economy took a heavy hit either way, no cinemas, no sports, people voluntarily quarantining. Imagine there was no government-enforced lock-down, a ton of people still wouldn't live their lives as if nothing was happening, they wouldn't tour, eat out, etc., they'd just work because they had to, and live doing the bare minimum. For example, NBA shut down before the government mandated it. Those factors alone fuck with the economy, 20% of the population self-quarantining fucks with the economy.

Disclaimer: I still live with my mother, who's 60 and has COPD. I don't give a shit if the government declares lockdown or not, I'm not killing my own mother by bringing this virus into the house. Luckily I can work from home (dev).

I'm using NOBL to double check TMF. I feel like it gives me an extra set of eyes on deflationary sentiment that can be parsed a bit easier from corona plays. Especially because i'm not the best read on the bond markets right now.
This week looked like it was mostly DXY movements, but right now I'm not too sure. It might just be head and froth. Sitting in this S&P 3050 zone has me feeling pretty uncomfortable about what happens next. I'm really glad to have moved back to heavier cash and less drastic bearish plays today. my gut is saying deflation and a run of the mill downtrend after a bit of violent swinging, but we'll have to see.

For options, specifically buy calls and buy puts, what's a good amount to jump out at if the trade is NOT going your way (eg you're losing money)?

Not sure about the track record of this metric though. Could be a blowoff top is brewing. Could be more crabbing. Could be plunge down back to 2800 and more months of rangebound from 2750 to 3250. And the movements of the DXY could track roughly with the index.

Not for the actual drug. The implant will be super expensive. But there are some benefits:

>Implant is great for making sure the patient takes the drug
>So the patient can’t go out and shoot heroin (it also blocks most of the effects of other opiates).

There is a market, but most will buy the generic film version. The main thing is banking on the implant system. It might be super big for other drugs. It’s not a bad bet anon.

My friend had a giant machine that regularly delivered morphine in his final days. An implant in its place may actually make QOL a little better for others in his place.

Im not a chem nerd so idk but I was still planning on buying the device for other possible uses rather than for buprenorphine alone.

>I need to make my money back
Everyone needs money but that's a bad mindset to get into when suffering loses because when you focus on earning back what you lost instead of being consistent, it'll put you into more bad trades.

Always size your positions according to the relative risk which you then increase when it's going well and decrease if it's going the other way.

Startups. NRC looking to streamline the glacial process for approval (helped in part by being modular). NuScale and Terrestial Energy. There are also more out there like TerraPower. Most are funded by private investors or DoE grants which leaves little room or need for IPOs.

take a quick look at those charts. Stocks can hold above rsi 70 for months and have a nice run up. The sell trigger is when it goes back sub 70
>pic related, bottom is RSI, notice the run up over 70, then sell off signal when RSI goes sub 70

June 12th is 45% through the year.
Assuming constant rate of deaths and taking the number of deaths from the previous year you would expect slightly less than 40k deaths at this point.
So the disparity is bigger than reported covid deaths, but typically you get slightly more deaths at the start of the year so it's hard to tell exactly from just this data.

Stop losses are so common that they will get sniped by algos. This is, unlike most memes, true. The other part is that stop losses incur fees so it requires large volumes to be sold to be worth it.

Its an indicator, not an oracle. You don't have to, it's just interesting to know the change in momentum in a stock, and perhaps to speculate as to the general direction the stock may take. Saved my ass before, and has let me know when there could be a good deal on the table.
