I think the truthful answer is somewhere in between the extremes given here and the desires of the OP.
Chainlink really is likely to make it big. You have to be as thick as a plank not to see it now. However, begging your Dad for cash to buy into something he has no clue about, well you can understand his hesitancy.
How much did you want from him? You never said.
Also, bear in mind that most guys of a certain age have probably come across pyramid schemes in their time, and are wise enough to avoid things they perceive as vague.
I understand your passion, but you need to understand his common sense, too.
Perhaps a small loan from him, combined with money you attain from other sources, might be a better path to seek, than trying to sell him on something as mind bending as tokens for an Oracle Network. I'm sure you'll work it out. Good luck.
