Is lying on your resume the only way to get a decent job these days?

I'm going to an interview next week for a $16/hr job I completely lied about everything for.

Lying on your resume is like cheating on your taxes. It is assumed that everyone does it. You're expected to not be a dumbass about it though

What in particular did you lie about? Work history? Experience? Skills? Schooling? Your name?

Experience and skills.

this. If you are not lying, you are kucking yourself.

>>1981717

Always have "backstory" about your experience and skills.

"I learned this and that in my time during/working for x...what I found most useful is y...the things I learned can be of great value here... and so on

How can I practice this to do this better?

How can I make it legit af?

You just have to have make a plan. Make a story out of it. Imagine you are an actor and I tell you that you are a stock-broker. You would probably learn som insider lingo, see whats hot and whats not on wallstreet right now, and so on.

So if you have said that you have "skill x". Go into it. Why would that skill be helpful for your work here, and tell them how you learned it and how you're going to apply it.

I for example said that I was in a huge project where we had to check a damaged house for gass leak. I just said that we used "this and that" and we did "this and after that this to make sure x and y were not damaged" blah blah blah

How about more specific stuff? I just get nervous when I have to elaborate on what I did at a company I never worked for.

Man, I'm not in your situation so I don't know how "big" your lie is.

How about you write your lie out for me, and I'll se if it is believeable.

you shouldnt have to lie to get a 16 hr job tbqhf.

>> No.1982308

Nothing.

In that case I wasn't getting the job anyway. According to game theory there is literally no reason not to lie in this case.

I found this thread while searching the catalog for "resume". I am a baby and havent made one since slapping "graduated highschool" on a piece of paper for my retail job. Could anyone post some good example resumes?

buy POSW and laugh at that job in 2 weeks

Just embellish, don't create story from thin air, too many details.

>> No.1982568

There isn't anything to embellish. I need to fabricate.
