The SENT ecosystem continuously strives to improve the UI/UX of the Sentinel dVPN in order to be on-par with mainstream VPN apps.

With the release of the iOS app, new features are being added to the Android app such as 'Quick Connect'.

In order for Sentinel to compete with the mainstream industry, features such as the fiat-payment gateway integration and multi-device support are a must in addition to an easy to use application.

The back-end of the Sentinel dVPN is being completely rebuilt and we will see heavy increase in performance and a drastic change in networking issues that are being experienced by a smaller segment of the userbase.

sentinel IOS app should be released in the coming weeks bringing a substantial increase to sentinel userbase and the v3 desktop client will bring substantial improvements, after main net full monetization will be deployed with fiat gateways allowing mobile and desktop users to pay both with credit cards and crypto

enterprise integration will be made possible, any business corporation bank government or legacy vpn provider will be able to deploy their own sentinel sidechain, with custom dVPN nodes allowing any users or employees to have nodes suited for their needs and with custom pricing or free.
an example of this use case is a corporation setting up a private network & vpn for its own employees that travel abroad so that every bit of communication is encrypted

>> No.19751339

>>19751271
i think there is a wide market for a similar solution, it would be even better if the corporation doesn't have to host the nodes and blockchain on their own

Getting more and more excited about SENTINEL by the week! Most undervalued project in crypto!

Even at $10m (5x from here) this network would still be hugely undervalued.

Great work by Elysium on the whitelabel app.

well thats exactly the idea, there will be third party professional service providers that will help enterpirses set up their own infrastructure without legal headache and having to manage physical hardware.
i could already see many gambling websites take advantage of such a solution, as it might be illegal to access gambling and vpns in many jurisdictions, this way gambling sites can offer their service easily and make some revenue from the vpn too.
i bet there are many people that would like for their IPs to not be tied to gambling

Most vpn’s are just tracked honeypots for the feds. How will you avoid being shut down or avoid compromising? You will not be able to avoid submitting to federal requirements for intelligence gathering.

>> No.19752091

>>19751847
sent canìt be shut down has nodes are decentralized , and data is passed through multiple hops , it will be similiar to tor with the added benefit of direct incentivization, you could think fo sent as a premium tor
sent will take the best of legacy VPN thanks to the enterprise solution and add on top of that the dVPN protocol and relay net which will allow anybody to host a node and get payed for the bandwidth they sell.
sent relay net will work very similiarly to tor allowing anybody to jump through multiple dvpn nodes so that nobody understands who is requesting the data, packet standardization and obfuscation will be added on top.
sentinel will try to uberize bandwidth creating a global competitive market, which should have the added benefit to make vpn services cheaper for consumers.

the point of sentinel is exactly to overcome the problem tor has, bandwodth is cheaply available on market, and cause users are incentivized government will have to spend way more resources to control the network, tor has 10k nodes that are running their service for free ,sentinel aims to grow way bigger then that as the incentives to do so are backed in, imagine how bigger would tor be if node hosters would be payed for their service

If I host a node other than than its associated speeds. How to I do compete with the thousands of other potential hosts? I'm guessing if no one uses my node I wouldn't get paid?

>> No.19753533

>>19753466
speed latency price , how close is to the user, if you are using openVPN or wireguard (sentinel v3 client will have wireguard implemented)
also sent will probably have some kind of voluntary trust bond to ensure service is not interrupted, so by staking some sent to your node people would trust you more

sent team never said anything about binance, sent has its own tendermint chain which is on testnet, and its validated by cosmos validators, main net will come later this year when its ready, rushing development does not work, spidervpn integration will happen when v3 client with enterprise features will be launched.
also you fail to acknowledge all the thing that have happened.
in the next weeks IOS app will be released once again proving sent track record of delivering code.

Sentinel's Contribution to the Cosmos SDK

1. Fixed an issue the In IBC prototype where there were problems with incorrect sequences in the process of relaying transactions between chains. https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/2896

2. Fixed an issue relating to queries where the data doesn't have proofs https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/3236

3. Fixed an issue which led to a block delay in querying the account, implemented a new query method to resolve the delay. . https://github.com/cosmos/cosmos-sdk/pull/3767

4. Reported the wrong implementation of Private key and Public key interfaces and proposed the best method to implement. For the full description check https://github.com/tendermint/tendermint/issues/373

5. Requested and suggested a way to develop a solution to get the information (including time remaining) related to blocks that had yet to be synced. For the full description https://github.com/tendermint/tendermint/issues/3365

Tendermint based modules developed for Sentinel's Tendermint dVPN app

6. For Sentinel, creation and implementation of a deposit module, custom built to maintain status pertaining to locking of tokens. https://github.com/sentinel-official/hub/tree/development/x/deposit

7. For Sentinel implemented a mechanism for locking and releasing tokens based on the application requirements, wherein this case the user had to lock tokens in order to initiate a DVPN subscription https://github.com/sentinel-official/hub/blob/development/x/vpn/handler.go#L158

A critical update from $SENT, the previous monolithic structure of the Sentinel desktop client has been split into a microservice architecture based backend and front-end

@spidervpn users will be able to remotely access the #dVPN on their router

https://github.com/ironman0x7b2/client/blob/development/main.go

In the previous client, the UI and the application logic is in the same desktop client codebase which has been written in ReactJS.

There was no ability for other applications to integrate with the Sentinel dVPN network or for users to remotely manage their dVPN client

The new client features a binary file which starts a API server that allows for the UI to be imported from anywhere in the subnet.

On top of this binary anyone can write their own custom UI and also integrate dVPN and Sentinel account into their own app through the API server

What does this mean?

1) Remote management of Sentinel dVPN present in home router/raspi
2) Ability for enterprises/organizations to build applications ontop of the Sentinel network with dynamic UI that is maintained from their own server (users do not need to download a new installer for a UI update)
3) Ability for other applications to integrate Sentinel dVPN services and account system into their application

We will be releasing incentives in the future for developers who take advantage of the microservices architecture present on Sentinel.
