Imagine a world in which 14 year old girls are old enough to consent, but not old enough for me to dump my bags onto them. Kek. 14 year olds should be allowed to gamble away their college funds in crypto.

This is one reason I had kids. I have them buy and sell stocks because they are minors. Being that they are under 18, they cannot be trialed as adults for SEC violations and criminal tax evasion, they have carte blaunch to do whatever they want.

College funds, ie, 529s, are a scam
>not pretax
>exempts you from aid
>need to document everything
>no american opportunity tax credit
>make one mistake withdrawls are taxed and 10% penalty
Even a normal stock account is better

529 are good though, it doesn’t exempt you from aid.

It does exempt you from aid in most situations. There isn't any advantage to it relative to a brokerage account as there is no federal tax incentive to invest in it.
