Where did I give any shits about the regimes? I care everything for the people and sanctions are deliberately designed to maximize suffering of the common people, you can read all this in CIA documentation, they're pretty explicit about why we do what we do. As an example, the Venezuelan government bought and paid for 10000 dialysis machines from(I believe it was sweden but some nordic country) that were then blocked courtesy of the United States. This obviously didn't hurt the regime at all but that was never the point.
