They are a monopoly. Find me another company that can build an ecommerce portal that sells as diverse of a group of items as Amazon. You can't, because Amazons destroys any business that tries by undercutting prices until that company goes out of business. They have no issues selling products at a loss to put other companies out of business and have done it countless times in the past. This is exactly why we have anti-monopoly laws. Too bad they still have not been applied to Internet-based companies. The Internet is, 30 years into its prime, still the wild west.
