are you in the US? if so you can use coinbase (if you want i can give you a referral code that will get us both $10 in free bticoin)

if you're not in the US you can use kraken or binance.

that's just the basic getting started exchanges there are more options but for now that's all you need to know.

ok, well if i wasn't in the US i wouldn't use coinbase. coinbase pro is ok but it takes forever for ACH payments to clear and the fees are too high on regular coinbase. plus binance has a lot more to buy and sell. a lot of people hate CZ though so would prefer to use something like kraken.

Do you have any informative ones? Most I've watched just make it more confusing.
Do you really need to buy a separate electronic wallet? Do I really need a separate email and things like that? Is it worth it in the end?

I'm not sure sorry, I kind of figured it all out myself.

Just download MetaMask, which is the most commonly used Ethereum wallet. I think it can be used on mobile but it is a browser extension.

Next you will need to buy ETH from somewhere like Coinbase/Binance (you will need to send them pictures of your ID. This is to stop money laundering / silk road drug dealers from cashing out anonymously ect.)

Once you have gotten the hang of things, you are best off doing your own research. DONT buy whatever /biz/ says because 95% of the time they are wanting you to buy the coins that they are selling or they want the price to go up so they can sell on you, making your coins worthless.
