So /biz/, is gold a good idea? Will it double the same way it did during the 07' crisis? Could it go higher?

I wouldn’t touch stock market or paper gold (ETF) if that’s what you mean - physical held yourself or in safe deposit in a private vault the only option
gold going to $5000+ inevitably

Buy physical gold with the lowest premium possible, gold is gold, dont get jewed by the sellers for something that looks fancy.
Fractional gold, 1oz investment coins or bars, it doesnt matter, buy what you can afford.

Personally I like austrian Kronen gold coins, british Sovereigns and 1oz Maple Leafs, they have very low premiums over spot and are worldwide recognized.

Don't listen to these physical meme tier hobbyists. Gold would have to 20x over before a government confiscation scenario could happen. Meanwhile you're missing all those juicy gains from waiting for a dealer to send you a brick in the mail.

Get in Gold, get in Silver, time is running out.

feels comfy for once being in the UK, gold Britannias are capital gains tax free since they are technically still legal tender. Who knows if they will change this if gold moons this decade, but at least we are safe for now

Nothing to with confiscation moron - you must be fucking fully retarded as all gold buyers know this:
these UNALLOCATED funds do not even own all the gold or just lease it and when the price rockets these funds will fold / close you will be lucky to even get back some devalued fiat eventually

There is no need to insult each other. Try to rise above this insult-flinging. This is a good topic of conversation and there really is no need to behave in a childish way towards each other.

Checked. People have been trained like monkeys to say that a giant metal box surrounded by sensors and guards is somehow unsafe because something something jews. Ignoring that you can shop around for a private vault with a team and terms you trust. You don't have to use Wells Fargo you fucking unimaginative brainlets.

>Pay annual fee on private vault
>Lose or break even with your YTD earnings for every payment cycle

Just fuckin keep your physical in a home safe. Unless you live in noggville or publicly post your stacks on FB , you really shouldn't have to worry. If you're really paranoid then find a way to install a hidden safe under the floor boards or something. Tell absolutely nobody, not even your parents. Between premiums and taxes (selling and buying) you're bound to lose money if you add storage fees on top of it all.

Just being realistic here. Gold MAY skyrocket in price, but that's not the purpose of gold really. The purpose is to store your value and hedge against catastrophy. Not to go on moon missions and fund your lambo. There are much more lucrative investments for that's what you're banking on. You're just pissing you're money away on NEGATIVE INTEREST by storing it in a Jew facility. May as well just store fiat in a savings account with all the fees you'll be paying.

Yes, this is sound advice. Don't go for the meme coin market and stock up on MAGA designs. Also don't do what I did and fall for the SilvedTowne bootlegs thinking you're getting a deal on popular minted coins. They're literally knockoff designs, if you're going for generic gold/silver just get generic rounds instead of bootleg rounds. You'll probably still be fine with SilverTowne since they're a known brand, but you risk putting the legitimacy of your metals into question when you show up with knockoffs that clearly fool buyers. At least with a generic custom design, you're being transparent that you're just selling the silver itself. I was so pissed when I got my "Silver Eagle" bundle from J.P. only to have ugly pieces of shit arrive at my door.
